The family lawyer of Daunte Wright said it would be very difficult for relatives to accept a claim by Minnesota police that the 20-year-old was shot and killed by accident in an attempted arrest last weekend.

At a press conference, Lawyer Crump held up photos to compare the type of handgun that former Brooklyn Center officer Kimberly Potter fired at Wright and a Taser stun gun that the police department she meant to use instead.

It’s very difficult for this family to accept this was an accident when you have a veteran who’s been on the police force for 26 years, Lawyer Crump said, it was daylight when Wright was shot in the Minneapolis suburb Sunday afternoon.

Maybe she was overworked from all the BLM riots this past year.

Lawyer Crump is nothing but another Jesse Jackson-Al Sharpton wannabe. A race baiter, a Negro who loves these kind of things, because it means more publicity and money for him.

From what has been stated here officially she was a field training officer. She was along that shift training in a black rookie, the one in the video who couldn’t seem to figure out how to put cuffs on this kid.
I don’t think for a minute she meant to fire live. You can be an FTO and I’m sure she was very adept at that but real world spur of the moment decisions under severe duress are tough.
Sad for all. Once again, the kid knew he had a warrant, shut up get in the car and your going to be turned loose in a couple hours. Everyone goes home happy. Oh and when you have a warrant out for your arrest for a firearm related charge, don’t be posting yourself on Facebook etc with a pistol in your hand while in your car.

It is a legitimate question to ask how an experienced officer confuses the two. Training and policy will need to be addressed to see if that contributed to it. Obviously stress is an issue. Accidents do happen.
Of course, this is separate from him contributing to his own demise. No struggle, no accidental shooting.

I don't know, I'm not a cop. In the video there are two white male police officers, one on the driver's side with Wright ready to put the cuffs on and the other officer observing from the passenger side. It looks like the female FTO walks up and grabs Wright's right arm messing up the easy cuff job and starting the resisting. Looks like she made two fatal mistakes.

Got a purpose for this post? Trying to elicit certain responses? Collecting for some database, or maybe just trolling? I'm kinda new here and it seems odd, even to me. Sort of looks like the photo of all the guns in your avatar is for credibility.

This. And driving around with expired plates? Everyone gets pulled for that up here, I would guess it’s one of the top fund raisers for the system.
Curious question for any of you Current LEO out there, could he have gone to a DMV and gotten tabs with a warrant hanging over his head? Would something have flashed up or was he just that stupid to not take care of something so obvious? Thanks

I don't think it would have been difficult for them had Dante "accidently" killed a cop.

That's overstating it. In the midst of the exigency of the moment she became confused as to which piece of equipment she was holding in her hands. This is a human flaw that's not uncommon. You get tunnel vision and focus on other matters goes out the window momentarily.

Thanks for pointing out her total incompetent actions.
26 years and she can't remember the location of her taser vs her pistol and can't feel the difference in her hand
In her case the word incompetent is inadequate in description of her actions
