Just their way of "reporting" the news.

Lil Homicide Tested Positive For GSR !
Seems like there should be some legal recourse against CBS.

I noticed that too. There were also some pics of it laying on the ground where he threw it and it looked like the slide was locked back there too. There had just been several shots fired in the area the boy was running from. I wonder if he had just done a mag dump and took off running before dropping the slide again. It would explain the GSR on his hands. Could have just tried to shoot someone.

My guess he shot it dry, or he would have still been shooting at the LEOs.

It’s a crying shame a 13 year old is involved in gang activity. But if he robs or shoots your his age does not matter.

Exactly.

I don’t take any satisfaction in anyone dying at 13 I find this horrible.

It’s only made more horrible by laying it at an officer’s feet.

The parents and whomever gave him the firearm ought to be brought up on charges.

parents still in Guatemala?
The DRE out on a robbing spree
Lay it at the 21 yo hexwas with. Quite surely a mentor and smart enough to get a minor to carry for him
There are no rules for CNN communists.
While I would put nothing past CBS, those appear to be two different stills from video footage. In the second "photo" he's simply holding the gun in a different position (probably only a second or two later), and it is partially obscured.
Is there anyone who thinks that kid would not kill someone down the line. The cop saved some ones life in the future whats a 13 year old "child" doing out at 230 am

If he's 13 years old and he's out at 2:30 am, he's not a child.

That is the part of the picture CBS edited.

They removed the space between the rear of his leg and the hand holding the gun. This brought the gun closer to his body with the effect that the gun was partially obscured.
Aint that like altering evidence almost in a biased way to potential jurors that might have seen that "preferred" footage.
Or will that altered footage eventually become accepted evidence in leiu of the actual police footage.
Once again my Dad was right. He pulled me over one night when I was 18 or 19 and said "There's only two kinds of people out at 2:30 in the morning, cops and criminals. I'm wearing a badge what's that make you."

Still true I see, but Damn! 13 is rough

They also apparently turned the position of his head, changed the lighting, and moved the shadows.
CBS splices gun in Adam Toledo’s hand

CBS Edits Photo

CBS splices gun out of police shooting video

Lil Homicide Tested Positive For GSR !
Those may in fact be two separate stills, closely separated in time. They both show him holding something, and in one that something is clearly a pistol.

You are correct. Those are different frames and the photo was created to show him tossing the gun.

What the OP has presented it to be in this post is what's completely false.

The complaint about CBSs video was that they cut away the frames that showed the kid being shot and falling to the ground which included the scene in this image.

The 2nd of these two frames and the frame of the video where the officer fired his shot were .38 milliseconds apart.

If CBS doesn't care to show people being shot that's their business but what the real BS is here is how this image is being presented.

Here is the CBS edit

https://mobile.twitter.com/RealSaavedra/status/1382857969658855425?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1382857969658855425%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fnoqreport.com%2F2021%2F04%2F16%2Fcbs-splices-gun-in-adam-toledos-hand-out-of-police-shooting-video%2F
All those websites show the exact same thing. One simply parrots the other.

I see no evidence of editing. Now, CBS may have shown one still where the gun was partially obscured (but you can still see it) in an attempt to hide the truth (I don't know, I don't watch CBS... I don't really watch TV at all, actually), but I see no reason to believe that anything was "photoshopped".

If they were going to edit the gun out, you'd think they'd have done a better job of it.
It's just more social media BS created to generate hostility
Their intention was to obscure the gun, not completely remove it.

Their intention was to place doubt in the minds of their viewers.
CBS is far more dangerous than this 13 year-old..
This is the CBS edit in question.

They cut away the entire right side of the frame.

The editing of a gun out of the kids hand only exists in your imaginations.

With al due respect,I'd trust these writers before I'd rely upon a few old guys assessing two blurred pictures.
Uncut video of the shooting, the shooting went down quick.

This video is age-restricted and only available on YouTube.

That's the edit of the video.

They also edited or cropped the "stills".

Exactly. A 13 year old kid, out running the streets at 2:30 AM, on a school day, means one thing..........lack of parenting...........period.

His parents, providing there are some, should be in jail on charges themselves for failure to properly care for a child.

How does it feel to be self-righteous ass-hole? LOL
Had a buddy killed by a 13 yo dindu. He got shot in the back while his friend was wresting the kid trying to get the gun away from him. Both of them unarmed, and stayed overnight in a bad part of town after hitting the strip clubs and bars. 13 yo dindu was back on the street after already having killed someone a couple years before. Age is of no concern to me at all if you point a gun at me or someone else in my presence.
I give that cop major props for only taking one, good shot, to the center of the chest, without emptying his 15 round magazine.
Lol!!!
Dropped like a wet sack of flour!!!
13 and street name Lil Homicide . . . .

Anyone see a line to trouble with the POlice.

At least his recidivism rate was reduced.
