During the campaign he was in Plains, Georgia and was answering questions by reporters.

He told them one of the things he wanted to do while there was to go and see all of the peanut trees.

Do you remember at the dnc convention when Jimmy Carter introduced Hubert H Humphrey as that wonderful American, “Hubert Horatio Hornblower, then quickly corrected himself to “Humphrey “.

Ole Hubert gave Carter the fisheye on that one.

Two names to this day send my 80 year old father into an immediate rant/rage; Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale.
Look up his kid Ted. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Eleanor used to be good to go. Don't know about these days.

Eleanor has been dead for 10 years. Cancer I think. She used to be hot back in the day.

Grew up in MN, meet Walter several times. Dad was a Lawyer and a Judge, morning meetings at the Captains Table coffee shop in Duluth. . Sometimes I would go along. Wife even met his wife when our daughter was born in Japan when I was in the Navy. Neither my dad or my very young self was impressed. Wife said an embassy photo op with Walter's wife. Humphrey's kid lived a couple of blocks away from our house in New Hope, when when we moved to MLPS area from Duluth. Should have seen the signs way back then, It has gone in the dumper for sure now.

Just to show everybody how far the Democraps have gotten from even Hubert Humphrey:

Senator Hubert H. Humphrey on the Second Amendment

"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used, and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible"

Senator Hubert H. Humphrey (D) Minn.
"Know Your Lawmakers" Guns (magazine), February, 1960, p. 4.

Suckawhore and SAC will be here shortly, after their swing shift at the sewage treatment plant is over, to enlighten us.

I will admit to being pleased with the news. He was the harbinger of bringing communism to America
Posted By: NDsnowman Re: Finally, pos Mondale - 04/20/21
He won one more state than I did in 84. I guess we will see if this is the worst thing that happens in Minnesota this week.
Posted By: wabigoon Re: Finally, pos Mondale - 04/20/21
I'm not going to speak ill of the dead.

I'll not soon forget Mondale laughing at Reagan's joke about his opponent's youth, and lack of experience. laugh

Mondale was likely better than many of the socialists we get now.

I don't think a dead communist is all that news worthy.

Grave Dance'n It's the latest thing. At least for the Que.
Posted By: Whiptail Re: Finally, pos Mondale - 04/20/21

Mondale patted me on the head when he toured my elementary school. My teacher, who was friends with my mom, made me to stand next to the only black girl in our school and Mondale made a beeline over to shake her hand. I got my picture in the paper.

He was just another greasy politician....
