Last night was a very moving experience.
Thanks so much for sharing.
JimFromTN might have some helpful tips.
Lot of paperwork to do for that.
Good luck
I prepped, 3 rolls in every head.
It will all be behind you soon.
In all seriousness, it's good to nip trouble in the bud.
I always wondered why married men live longer, even though a recording of the wife's voice will raise the husband's blood pressure.
I offered to go to the doctor for the first time in 20 years, if the wife would take early retirement.
She retired and she took me to the doctor, who said I needed a colonoscopy.
I got the colonoscopy and they found and removed a 30mm polyp.
That answered the question, "Why do married men live longer?"
Better hope you don't get paddler..........

Have fun! I had one a few years ago.
They gave me the truth drug.
Lol
I guess I said some funny stuff while my butt hole was being blown up and poked...
I was full of gas after the process
Eeeeeeee
Have fun bud and good luck!
Im sitting an optometrists office waiting to dilate. MUCH more fun.

Yeah, like relax, have a drink, I got you now.
Dad died from colon cancer, got to his liver. So every 5 years since age 40 I get to go have one. So far all is good, next one end of May
3 times so far , nothing to it.
Had the colonoscopy and endoscopy 3/12/21 same day.Wasn't bad was a relief to hear all good. Was having stomach problems but with ulcer meds now feeling better and no longer taking meds. The worry for me was waiting on biopsy results all good no cancer yet.
SandBilly gets two or three colonoscopies a week...just to be safe...
Good luck! I'm on the 10 year plan and this is year 10 so I gotta get it done. I'm gonna have my wife write "Exit Only" on my ass with a sharpie with an arrow pointing to my bung hole. That ought to get a laugh from the nurses.
I'm due for my final one this year. Doc says that after age 74, it's moot since I've been clean every previous time.
Tucks are your friend... Good luck to you.

Glad you woke up with no butt taste in your mouth.
They must have done 'em in the right order !
5 years till my next, I'm doing the 10 year plan too.
Close but no cigar. Propofol is what you want. Propranolol is a beta-blocker commonly used in high BP, dysrythmia, etc. đ
Edit: yes, it is a very good drug and to say it and other tailored-for-anesthesia drugs were revolutionary is not hyperbole.

Talk about living rent free in someoneâs head. đ
Itâs all good, some times I stay the night rent free at your mommaâs house. Youâre usually locked in the basement. Lol
Did you take roses and chocolates for the exploratory physician?đ
Just make sure your doctor doesn't get tunnel vision.

Make sure he doesnât have both hands on your shoulders, thatâs how Tico likes it done.

My mother was months away from colon cancer hitting her liver, no symptoms at all. She got lucky and it was found in a routine Colonoscopy she didn't want to do. It probably added 20+ years to her life. My advice is if you're thinking about it, do it. I'm on a 3 year higher risk schedule.
Had to go see the doc today in order to get a Rx refilled. She mentioned that C word. I suppose it's time. I'll be 51 soon.
5 years on endoscopy plan and 10 on the colonoscopy since about age 28 for me.
Phugged up stomach since about age 8 or 9.
The 1st meal after, with that opiod buzz is fantastic.
I had another cancer and I knew it when I got my first scope. I never wanted one, but then suddenly it seemed like a very good idea.
Prep was miserable, but the hospital trip was nothing. Much easier than I thought.
Smart thing to do.

Yup
Propofol gives the best nap ever
Well at least for one day no one can say "youre full of schitt"
Carol did the prep work, IV and all that. Nice lady.
Bonnie was my best friend and anesthesiologist. Cute little gal. She asked if I have ever had any problems with the anesthesia. Nope, Iâm pretty easy. Iâll probably be asleep just by showing me the needle. Great, she says. Iâm gonna go ahead and get started with the sleepy time stuff, time to wake up. It was like one sentence.
Awesome sleep.

Seems like a recreational thing for ya!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAA

Better than having it checked thru my mouth....
Weak Tico, extremely weak. Most semi-intelligent people know when to stfu. I can guarantee youâre not. Lmao.
I bet Tico gets his Taco checked a couple of times a week, voluntary of course.

Yep, Ticoâs taco takes a pounding.

Every once in a while I drop a bad one..still waiting on you to drop a good one...like the loads I drop on Mrs Sandbilly...

Did they run a string through and give you a good flossing?
I've had 3. Nothing to get butt-hurt about.
Last night was a very moving experience.
One of the best days of my life was when my procto told me I didn't need to have another for 10 years!
At 57 I've just had colo #3.
It really isn't that big of a deal, but can be if you don't get them!
Is a colonoscopy that important an event that everytime someone on this forum has one it's a newsworthy event that'll run several pages ?
70 in a few days and fairly healthy so-far. I'll pass as going to the city is almost a prison sentence as it is. There are far more outdoorsy ways to d
ie without being by surrounded people in scrubs.
Wonder what the cost was if I remember right my insurance bill here in Alaska was over 7K 2020

Yes
If it brings awareness and encourages fraidy-cats that wonât get checked.
Testimonials; such as many above that all was not such a big deal-might get some old, steak eatin bastard of 70 years to get himself examined.
Early detection and all that jazz.
I realize you have me on ignore, but I know you will toggle this cause youre such a dick weasel.

He doesn't have to now.
Dumass thinks he's a gun smith, & prolly a self diagnosing proctologist too !
A couple of the 'fire prize dikheads heard from. They must like hearing about folks getting their pooper probed.

I don't know about you guys, but colonoscopy stories keep me on the edge of my seat......
SACharlie is jonesing because you didn't post the 8x10 glossies.
Had my second one last fall. The fasting part is the hardest.
On the first one I worked at a place that would glue army men to engineering circuit boards and modules to keep marketing and sales from taking them. Somehow the topic of shoving one up my ass came up to see what the kind or reaction it would get from the doc.
Told my buddies I might consider prone rifle guy, but bazooka guy was not gonna happen.

My Dad died at 64, wish they would have caught it sooner. Great thing for your Mom

Considering how youâre held in such high regard here, Iâll take that as a compliment, You lowlife, lying hack.

Why not, one of the most treatable cancers if caught early. Get people thinking about it and get one. I had several friends who got one too late.
Makes me skittish just hearing about it.
Do it. Found my cancer just before it emerged thru the outer layer of the....uh.....colon. Had it penetrated it would have had a great chance to metastasize. Itâs a joke till it happens to you.

One in particular likes his checked with a one eyed snake...
