He says he wants gunshots to the brain stem. That is not how they do it in neighboring Utah, they give the criminal four, .30-30 slugs to the chest, range 20 feet.
It would hurt like hell.
But it wouldn't hurt for long.

The guillotine is reviled because it's so messy. However, for the victim, it's a fast painless way to go. I'd prefer it over a lot of other ways, like the gas chamber for example.
