Just received.

"Not making it up. My adrenaline hasn't gone down."

Good kid.

It is instinct for some people to defend. I don't know that it's something that can be turned on and turned off. Age and physical issues have moved my needle, but not much.

From a purely logical standpoint the risk vs gain analysis in your son's situation should render a do not tackle. That based on the small snapshot the text gave. I admire your son anyway.

Sometimes it’s not simply about right and wrong, it’s about the fact that we’re fed up with society allowing, justifying and even promoting this behavior.

Brother, believe me, I get that. The tackle will probably be the one thing that is most likely to get the azzhole to think twice about ripping someone off again.

Remember fondly my time as a floor walker in the late 80's working for Target Corp. The chit we did to those boosters would git ur ass arrested today.

First, good on your son Ed. Hope the store owner is pleased.

Second, Fats, you ever have a guy on each leg and arm of the perp and drop him on a concrete floor in the back from about waist height too?

The one I didn't like was going out with the store "loss prevention specialist" after a dude when his women walked out of the store yelling "let him go" with her hand in her purse. Our store didn't allow us boxboys to carry our own piece, so I handed the dude back his package of steak and said "C'ya".

Waiting for my local liquor store to get robbed. I should say attempted to be robbed. I am pretty sure the cashiers are under orders to hit the floor and stay behind the counter if some one tries to rob them. Front of the counter is all steel plate. Depending on the day and time there are anywhere from three to seven guys watching the store and facing the counter. If you know what to look for it is very obvious they are all carrying. Pretty sure they are hoping to turn some lowlife into a dueling tree.

I worked retail for a lot of years. I enjoyed shoplifters. Always made sure two of us at least jumped on them. You know you need a witness to not see how they obtained their injuries.
