I never liked the 365. Not sure if it was because a buddy had an early one that went back to Sig twice, or if the grip just didn't fit me.

The Hellcat grip is not a good fit for me, but I shot it better than the 365.

Never my gun, just shooting friend's guns at the range.

Well, the Shield+ comes along, and I love my $199 PSA salad day Shield, so I got one. I shoot it well, just like my 1.0 and my 45 Shield.
I put 200 rounds through it, and it likes 124 and 147 HST.

So, today, I headed down to my FILs house to fix up his bathroom while he's in rehab post hip surgery. First time carrying the Shield+.

I realized on the drive home that I'd been carrying a gun with the same capacity as my VP9sk or my Apex compact. I would have noticed either of those had I carried them IWB while working, but the Shield+ is so small and light it disappears.

I feel like I did when I finally got past my "we qualified with irons, I don't need an ACOG or Aimpoint" mental block.

Now they just need an optic cut 3.1" model and I'll be set.

Anyhow, if you're a set in your ways dinosaur like me, check out the new little 9's. They're no bigger than the 7-8 round guns I'd been carrying in the summer.

And I don't see me ever carrying a G26/27 ever again.......

I'm a big fan of my Glock 48 with a 15rd Shield Arms mag.
Dimensionally it's very similar to a commander length 1911 but with twice the capacity.

I don't think I'll ever carry a double stack gun again for ccw.

To me they're not worth the current asking price with no night sights and/or optic cut, but I may look for one down the road on the used market.

PS,

If anyone in southern Oregon is looking for a Sig P365XL, I saw one today at Coastal for $574.99, which is better than anything I've seen even online.

PSS,

The reason I went in to Coastal was to look at the S&W Shield Plus.

15 round mags for the P365 if you have big pecker beaters.

I was thinking that, but with my two $200 salad day Shields, it averages to $300 each with the Shield+.

I majored in rationalization.

And, seriously, the new trigger saves you $150 that you'd spend on an Apex. I agree about the sights. Since I think it's a keeper, I just ordered Hackthorn Ameriglos.

Yep. The Plus is a winner, for sure. It replaced my Glock 26 in my rotation. The 26 was what I carried when I wanted a more compact concealed carry gun. I still primarily carry the Glock 19, though. But now when I want something more compact, I go for the Plus instead of the 26.

Can I ask what you paid for the Shield Plus? They're $599.99 here.
