My first child was born yesterday! He will be my hunting and fishing buddy! Told the wife I should take him fishing today, she thought it was a bad idea!
All joking aside, it does feel like a big responsibility, esp if he has to learn some things the hard way like I did.

Congratulations! Maybe wait a week or two before you take him to the fishing hole. But he’ll be big enough before you know it, mine has been going with me since he was 6 months or so.

Edwin was my dads name, that part is a tribute to him. He passed away a month ago. It is from him i learned to love fishing, he started us when I was 4. Later he taught us how to hunt even though he had quit some years before. Took us, then after we were grown he stopped. I know he went for the sake of his boys. He was a fine man

I didn't have kids until I was 44. I can tell you they are the single greatest blessing you will ever have. Mine are going on 4 and 2 and I know that despite some sleepless nights, they have brought nothing but joy to my life. Enjoy every single minute you can. Take ALL the pictures, play all the games, read all the books. Enjoy each and every second.
