We have a couple GSPs and our oldest is 13 so we decided it was time to add a new pup so they can have some time together. My wife and daughter picked up Posey yesterday and she's having fun in her new home but, as usual, really missing her litter mates at night. We love this breed and have high hopes for the new addition. Anybody else add a pup or getting ready to add one? If so, let's see some pics!

Congratulations. Any dog is a treat, usually, a new one more so, and pups are really something!

We are a couple days into keeping one of those nasty pit-mixes while a neighbor is out of the state for a month.



Henry is a bit crippled up, but that doesn't stop him from helping Honey watch for squirrels, especially when the weasel has one treed.

It's no beauty contest so of course they do!!

This was Posey's first full day home so she's been paying close attention to her sisters to see how the back yard works......


When it was time to come in and settle down, belly rubs have proven irresitable.....


And surprisingly, the old one's let her snuggle right up to her for nap time......

I’ve always ran Setters but after each one I was close to getting a GSP. They’re a great breed but I’ve had good luck with Setters so I’ve stuck with what I know.

No, I hate to say its worse than that. I lost Rommel about a month ago. He got suddenly ill/hurt by unknown causes and I had to put him down. He was one handsome beast, and gone before his time. But I couldnt stand an empty house any longer, I just retired and have all the time in the world to train a dog up right.

I’ll have a black lab pup at the end of June. It’s a pointing lab like my last one. Should be a good one.

Had two guest over for the weekend, a 2yo beagle and a 14 week old lab pup. This is the damage done by my crack head GSP...

And the lab pup proved that perpetual motion is real!

Sorry to hear that. There is only one thing that can detract from the pain of losing a good dog and that’s the step you’ve taken with the pup. Wishing her a long and happy life!

Beautiful pup, neighbor! She hit the lottery when she got to become a member of your family.

It's hard enough when they're old so I'm very sorry to hear about Rommel. I know there's no replacing a good dog so here's to all the great experiences with your new pup.

I want one! I think I finally have the wife talked into going to see one. She has dog allergies, and need to check out if they truly are hypo allergenic for her. If there are no problems, we will be on the search.

Been out of town and am just seeing this. Damn......
