Bobby Gentry was a really pretty and really talented lady. She got tired of the BS of the recording industry and walked away from it. But while she was singing, she was good.

I heard that song six times a day in the summer of '67. My boss played his radio from clock in to clock out. Good thing I like the song.

Few things worse than job-site radios. ESPECIALLY those tuned to talk radio.
