So in a then recent case, when told that a cross-dressing ninja robbed the local convenience store, I detained the first ninja in drag I found behind the store. Lo and behold, it was the robber!

I had to go to Austin about a year and a half ago for a trial and the first thing I thought when I got off the freeway into Austin was "this place is the Oakland of Texas".
San Francisco is an outright freak show, but Oakland is where the filth, crime and weirdos really congregate. I was pretty surprised to see the tent cities under overpasses and lawlessness just driving to the Travis County courthouse from the airport. I was only in town for 24 hours, but that was enough to never want to go to that part of Texas again.
The vast majority of 6th st. is frequented by what I would refer to a foreign interventionist.
Not to mention all the squatters taking a schitt on the sidewalks.

Lived there for 10 years. Hated it but the City was booming so made lots of money. Very rare to meet someone living there who is actually from Texas, lots of wetbacks and hipster transplants. Sounds like they’re starting to get real San Antonio style gangbangers there now. My kid went to visit a friend of his a couple of months ago and said he’d never go back, I stay as far away as I can. It’s a big port o potty( Mexican stew pot) now.

Very close to being done. The house goes on the market in about two weeks and as long as the Chinese continue to make over ask cash offers with no contingencies, we should be totally done with that place by around the first of August.
I still will go back every three weeks or so to visit my mom, but it will be nice to not be a homeowner or taxpayer (other than sales tax) there.
Sounds like they’re starting to get real San Antonio style gangbangers there now.
There’s prob’ly some San Antonio gangbangers somewhere that have shot thirteen people. But not all at once.
The last shooting was last week at a WalMart on the non-ghetto side of town where two fumb ducks pulled out guns over a road rage incident, 3:30 in the afternoon, broad daylight.

Is any state capital not a bit of a crap hole? They all have places for the movers and shakers, and nice places for the fancy buildings. But they all seem to be overall, not great cities.

Maybe another question is, "are any cities really nice, clean, and safe anymore?"
Back in about 1970 the Hoffbrau Steakhouse was a fine place to get a steak in Austin on 6th st. downtown I believe. Joe's Pizza had a great New York pizza way out on 6th. I think. you had to wait two forevers for it to get done but it was more than you could imagine. Austin was pretty stupid back then with the college kids and all.
