Beavers wifey tossed out an “Omaha” audible and suggested we take our small family to the property instead of partying with family on the Coast.
Umm, okay, but why ? Wifey said dog boy, our Danner Boot, is still recovering from heat stroke that he suffered several days ago, plus he hates fireworks...Wifey wants a calm and quiet July 4th for her doggie.
I was okay with it, sorta, because at least my BlackStone Griddle that Flavor’s thread made me buy was supposed to be delivered...
Unfortunately, UPS fûck’s, didn’t get it done...I’m sans a griddle on the property with a barely ambulatory fur baby and a wife who thinks our first 4th of a July at the property will still be fun.
Only upside...I stuffed two coolers full of beverages, steaks, ribs and chicken.
Working tomorrow, and likely half day Sunday. Hopefully grill some good foodSunday afternoon and evening. Back to work Monday. Two jobs have to be finaled out on Tuesday and it’s gonna take kicking some ass to get them there. Gonna be some hurt feelings more than likely.
Im staying off the lake cause it too crowded . The towns having fireworks , cakewalk and karaoke at the community center . Wont be any Democrat's there either .
I live in S.E WIsconsin . Today I drove to Alexandria Bay New York and sitting in a very small motel. I am meeting some cousins that have a small place here. I have not seen some of them in 29 years . We have my uncles boat ready but there is rain in the forcast so we might not get much fishing in. It wil be nice to see my cousins , and may likely be the last time cause I dont get to New York ,EVER!.
Looking forward to a drive in the mountains taking the wife and mom to see waterfalls. BBQ's of course. Be plenty of inane and pointless threads to post later.

Go twenty-five more miles north along the river and you’ll hit my hometown.
Babysitting the grandson tonight, just got home from playing volleyball with friends. Youngest son set lines in the river so maybe go help him run them at daylight. Have 3 rifles set out to do load development when I get back. Going to a good friend’s around noon for a pool party and bbq.
Sunday I plan on shooting pistols and messing with the garden early. Going to either the river or pool the rest of the day.
Cook a few hotdogs Watch for fires from drunk/high hoodrats Watch for stray bullet hits on house and vehicle
Brats, dogs, burgers with coleslaw, chips and dip here and trying really hard to ignore the wetback kids in a 4 wheeler with a Mexico flag on it tearing up the empty lot next door...oh and competing ghetto cars with the bass.

We have, for 15 years, headed into town (Sandpoint Idaho) for breakfast and the parade. This year we planned to head over to Clark Fork's parade. Latest is we will remain up here on the mountain having carnitas for lunch and burgers for dinner. The yard needs a mowing as well.
Lot's of yard work tomorrow, make hamburgers early evening and take a plate of burger/BBQ beans/chips to the nursing home, then watch the neighbors two pastures over blow $800 on their annual fireworks show. Simple, but I ain't complaining.
Last night was fresh striped bass just out of Lake Cumberland. Along with the usual pot luck.
Tonight was baby back ribs at a second location, more potluck, complete with fireworks.
Told wife on the way home tonight, her driving of course that I wanted to grill a steak tomorrow night. She told me we had one more party tomorrow night.
We have some great fun loving friends, but how much more cole slaw, baked beans, & Bud Light can I take?
Work around the GF’s yard again. Trying to get the disaster are cleaned up before moving her trailer to town. The heat almost got me yesterday. Today I won’t over do it.
Wheelbarrows aren’t made for 6’4 dudes. I should hire me a midget or Irishmen, scratch that idea, I don’t want to buy him whiskey 😂 or kick his mouthy ass.
Low key celebration last night. Took an old friend out to dinner for her 80th birthday. After dark, I capped the birthday party with some fireworks in the backyard. When I dropped the old gal off at her house, she gave me her father's well-used Remington sheath knife. He was a beagle man from long ago. No telling how many cottontails that knife had skinned out.
There are things around the house that I COULD do, but nothing I have to do today. Did the work yesterday---mesquite smoked about 40 pounds of pork tenderloins, ribs, and a tenderloin roast. Today I may just enjoy an adult beverage in the pool and have some killer grub.
Because I'm in the eastern Bay Area, I am going with the traditional festive meal for the day honoring the triumph of the white man over the red man paving the way for the establishment of this great nation: Indian food.

I do love pakora and paneer.
Without googling, I'm going to assume that's pork with a lot of curry?
