Does anyone know where this tarball/oil came from... ? where's the spill is at? lol. I know the folks who live here on the coast will know.
but from where in the gulf?
I think you stepped on some old Chihuahua beach poop.
Also, get to a podiatrist, stat.
Probably just the normal amount that leaks.

Whats wrong with his foot...other than having stepped in Copenhagen?
Last time I was there there was little balls of sand about two thirds the size of a golf ball rolling around in the surf everywhere. If you picked one of them up and squeezed it oil would come out of it.

The sandy growth along the bottom of the foot's epidermis is alarming.

They’re fairly common, Roger depending on the winds and currents direction.
Not necessarily an actual spill but they can just ooze up from the ocean floor.
A spill would typically be a visible sheen on the water and on the beach.
The tarballs come from oil spills that eventually sunk & collected on the bottom. As time presses on the oil forms into little “patties” and work their way to the beaches getting deposited on the beach by the surf.
Then you step in it and track into your vehicle where nothing, and I mean nothing, will remove the stain.
I'm ready for another BP oil spill, best fishing season ever.

Most times Oil is lighter than water and comes to the surface.

I know my point is they make a big deal out of any spill, but it oozes up from the gulf floor naturally. Always has.

I am bumping 58 and have got them as long as I can remember.
The car of the 25 year old gold digger your dating?
Used to see it a lot on FL Atlantic coast. Don’t recall seeing much, if any, on the panhandle beaches.
Little turpentine on a rag would take it off.

Same here. Never a time since ‘65 there wasn’t tarballs on the beach in Galveston.

Jealousy is akin to envy.
There was a big Meskin oil spill years ago. Took them a long time to get it stopped.
I heard Al Sharpton was swimming in that area. EPA alerts will be going off for a few days trying to track down the cause
No jealousy here. Just offering a possible source of the oil.

Scrape that off and save it man; with the price of gas you can't be wasting that schidt.
The Taylor spill is ongoing, some estimates of 700 barrels daily.

That’s a difficult one caused by a hurricane and a sub sea bottom mudslide that sheared some downhole casings.
Mr. Taylor is the individual that initiated the TOPs program for Louisiana college students,,,,,free tuition paid for by Taylor Trust fund with matching funds from the state of Louisiana.
As you say, that leak is ongoing but is far from being a disaster.
Soul glow remnant ???
Do rockfish go to the beach and go in the water???
Those little blobs have been on the beach forever. They can be from natural seeps or a spill…
Roger, you got melanoma on ya
I think you stepped on some old Chihuahua beach poop.
I'm going with this^^
Happy will be along shortly to offer prayers, nutritional advice on how that could have been prevented, and an obligatory link to notsobright.com and/or the nutty preacher … gotta get those links in to get paid.

I nominate Senor Toot as the retard of the month
LMAO
As a kid on the beach in NJ, we encountered that same black oily/tar stuff. Our folks told us it was spillage from tankers carrying heavy crude to refineries - such stuff was not likely to have been seeping up from the ocean floor.
Bay of Campeche spill from when Clements was Governor!
Rog,
Did you schidt yourself ?
Not Today.

Oil floating on the surface of water when subjected to wave action and sunlight mostly.evaporates. What is left are tar balls. Oil does seep from the earth. It is discharged from ship bulges, It is spilled from oil and gas operations occasionally.
