Never liked them as a kid. The box let the candy f a g s rattle, when rolled up in the tee shirt sleeve. Program won't let the word f. A. G. S. !What a bunch of crap!
There were the ones that were gum, and there were the ones that were just hard sticks of candy, with the end painted red. I liked em all. haha nobody in my family even smoked, but I thought it was cool. Back when you could be an innocent and naive kid in grade school. Them days are looooong gone.
Luckies. I was always told how Dad quit cigs cold turkey when I was born. He was a near lifetime smoker. Years later, I found out Luckies were his brand. Strange.
not sure what brand they were, but I remember some that had a white powder between the paper wrapper and the gum so that you could blow on it and make a "puff of smoke"
Same here,we used to blow on them when we would first have one,and a little puff of candy dust (smoke) would come out. The gum cigars were cool as well.
Used to buy them at the local penny candy store (anybody remember them?). Made a kid feel all grown up. Strangely, even with parents who both smoked, I've never once smoked a cig.
