I want to find some information about a guy I went to high school with. I suspect he committed suicide a year ago. Is there an online site where you can pay some money and find out information like this?
Put his name in google and type "obituary" by it.
Have you tried googling his name?
You hire Brother Shamus Da Fino.
I have looked this guy up, one side and down the other and can find nothing. One problem, it costs $840 to run an obituary in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Any way, his name is Charlie Merz and he lived on Inman Drive in Atlanta.
I have done it type in free people search.
About 3/4 of them will tell you it wants money just go to the next one you will find one for free.
I just looked up a old buddy from high school who i had not seen since 91 found him that way.
Another way if anyone you knows has face book look him up that way.
If you know city and age you will find him.
Try fastpeoplesearch.com
It'll give you last address and maybe a phone number. Won't tell you if he's dead.
Check with Slumlord. Most landlords do a background check before renting to tenants.

He only does wandering daughter jobs.

Not dead (unless it was very recent) and still at that address.

You can a lot without pay sites.

Damn! Don’t dox the guy… If he’s still above ground and reasonably close to the TN/GA line TNduck will be showing up looking for a date.

😳😳😳
I did a bit more looking at the record (I use Lexis for work stuff and it gives me access to public records). It shows him as being alive and living at the address, but doing a search for the property shows it was sold in the last year and someone with a different name is the new owner. Lexis is notorious for providing half-assed public records info, so my guess is that the real estate records should be trusted and he's no longer at the address (or, perhaps, even alive). The death records, though, are usually pretty good and they don't show Mr. Merz as having passed.

Ask Fireballz. Heard he's done it a time or two.
Hey by chance was this the house where tree fell on the back of the home, it was in dilapidated condition and seemed impossible that anyone could still live there?

Might try some of the high school class listings.
Slumlord you have quite a memory. Thanks for the info guys. Still quite a mystery.
Amazing what can be found in 5 minutes and for free.
Heck, a frequent poster on here showed some document with
his and his wife's first name. For chigs and giggles I put it to Google.
Just wondered what the first names and decent sized city would yeild.
The names weren't super common, or unusual.
Popped right up.
PM'd him, just that maybe he didn't want that out there.
Two daughters 18 and 14.
I Google a lot of names!
Try grave finder, type in that, his name and city. I’ve found some that way.
I tried findagrave.com No luck. On the other hand, two of my brothers have died and my parents got them cremated and there is no grave.
Used to be, everybody got a big marble grave stone but not necessarily today.
A few years ago, I tried to look up some old friends from way back. I located a couple of the men easily enough by simply googling their names. The women are harder because of name changes. I did google a girl who was a good friend in high school. I knew she was married but I didn't know her married name. I found her married name immediately as her husband's obituary popped right up.
One thing Facebook works well on.
