As a kid in the 80’s the Olympics were a big deal. It was sold as good Vs. evil the USA and our allies Vs. the USSR. I haven’t cared about the olympics in years and care even less today with the athletes supposedly representing this county that openly despise and disrespect it.

Olympics have been political since at the least 1968!in Mexico City with the US sprinters Tommy smith and Carlos something or other. It’s just worse now.

the 1st article I read was in error. It was a woman from Costa Rica supporting BLM. There is a rule against that kind of protests so she worked into her floor routine. At the end of her routine, she finished by taking a kinee and doing a BLM fist salute.

Paul she is something else. That video takes me back. When I was in college I was banging a coed who was on the gymnastics team. She did floor exercises. Very muscular body, and just 18 years old.

As a keen follower of US wrestling, there is not much wokeism going on there.

And that is the 1 sport I am going to watch and am excited to watch. I have watched a little bit of boxing and will probably watch more.

The US wrestling corps is about as strong as it ever has been and we could do quite well. These guys are dedicated athletes that do their sport. That's it.

Just 18? Women gymnasts often hit their prime between 15 and 18. By 20, most are done although a few last for a couple years more before their bodies can't take the beating. Gymnastics is about the toughest thing you can do to your body.
