Just watched it again. Had forgotten a myriad of fine details, thoroughly enjoyed it. Again.

Had forgotten he was named after Nathan Bedford Forrest. Guess it’s a racist flick?

I DON’T CARE, IT’S A GREAT MOVIE! Even better than a box of chocolate.

Is that ALL you've got to say about that?
Posted By: DigitalDan Re: Forrest Gump - 07/30/21
My favorite scene was when he showed LBJ the wound scar on his buttocks.

That’s all I have to say about that.
Posted By: Old_Toot Re: Forrest Gump - 07/30/21
I enjoyed all of it but especially when he quit running and all the lemmings thought, ‘what are we gonna do now?’
Classic human behavior.

Enjoyed him teaching Elvis the hip thing.

A good actor and neat story encompassing my age bracket. Hanks is not quite up there with Anthony Hopkins, but still a great job.
Posted By: Old_Toot Re: Forrest Gump - 07/30/21
Forrest was plenty smart enough to know that he was dumb.

One of the very best movies all time. Watched it again few weeks ago.

Great movie. I think I'll watch it this weekend.

I think it when he decked the 1970s version of Antifa dude.

I thought Tom Hanks was a commie and on the campfire grumpie’s boycott list.

A very good movie, four academy awards between Sally Field and Tom Hanks

Was and is a great movie what I liked about it was it showed how turdly the world and that generation in the US was. He portrayed a low IQ persona surrounded by retards. It's like going out in the public today...... mb

Movie trivia:

Kurt Russell was the voice actor for the Elvis scene. He had previously been nominated for an Oscar for playing Elvis in the movie Elvis.

That’s what i thought.

Only folks we watch are George Kennedy, Jimmy Stewart and Walter Brennan.

And Gary Sinise.

He does a lot of good. Not the typical holly weird type.

That alone makes him smarter that any LIB I have ever met. They don't know they are dumb but everyone around them does.

Tom Hanks scurried off to Greece once the flames of sexual child immorality & molestation began to lap at his feet.

He better hope he repents before God punches his ticket.

Sorry I spoiled your black panther party! Great Movie

Funny that Hanks couldn’t figure out how “Forrest Gump” should talk until the young fella that played him w the braces started talking.
Posted By: GAGoober Re: Forrest Gump - 07/30/21
Running his wounded brothers in arms to safety was a true Medal of Honor moment.

Gary Sinise is one of the Good Guys. Does a lot of charity work for Wounded Vets.

There’s a good documentary on NetFlix about the making of Forrest Gump.
It’s called “The Movies That Made Us”. Forrest Gump is in Season 2.

One of my Favorite Movies that’s not a “Western”. 🤠

Lori Loughlin went to prison for bribing a school to get her daughter in.
Forest Gump's mother, Sally Fields, had sex with the principal to get her son in a school.

Great flick, we watched it again a few months ago.

Hopkins acting abilities aren't even in the same ballpark with Hanks

Cast Away was also a good one. Takes talent to carry 9/10ths of a movie solo.
