This was out of the blue! He told his dad what he wanted. He found the pup and used his money to get him. The boy that raised him is the same age as Michael. They immediately hit it off and got to talking hunting and fishing. Michael gave him one of his home made fishing lures! Im sure they will stay in touch.

That's awesome! You might want to get him GPS tracking collar because it sucks to lose your dog in the field. I sure wish I had one when I had dogs.

I remember when I got my first dog, a German Shepherd/Beagle mix puppy gal I promptly named "Woodstock" (Snoopy's pal, the little yellow bird, not the hippie love in)

Yeah, I had loved our family dog, she passed about one year in to dad's last tour in Germany. Wish I had a good pic of Woodstock, she was a hell of a dog.

Like this one will be, for sure!
