WASHINGTON (WCSC) - Congressman Jeff Duncan, who represents South Carolina’s Third Congressional District, is calling for President Joe Biden’s impeachment over his handling of Afghanistan.

Duncan co-sponsored Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green’s articles of impeachment against the president. Duncan retweeted a Twitter post Friday morning from Green’s account that thanked him for co-sponsoring her bill and read, “It’s time for Congress to hold this administration accountable” for Afghanistan.

Thank you @RepJeffDuncan for cosponsoring my articles of impeachment against Joe Biden related to Afghanistan.

It’s time for Congress to hold this administration accountable.

Joe Biden must be impeached. Immediately.
— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (@RepMTG) August 27, 2021

“Joe Biden must be impeached. Immediately,” Green’s Twitter post stated.

Duncan released a statement Thursday on the proposed impeachment.

“I am heartsick at the President’s failure to fulfill his duty that has resulted in American deaths and thousands of Americans and Afghan allies being abandoned at the risk of being tortured, captured, held hostage, or killed at the hands of the Taliban or other terrorist forces,” Duncan said. “Our Commander-in-Chief showed reckless disregard for both American citizens and allies in neglecting to secure their safe evacuation from Afghanistan once he withdrew our troops. The President promised to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, but it is evident the President has failed to fulfill this charge.”

Duncan called impeachment “a very serious matter,” but said Biden’s actions have “proved he is a threat to our national security and the Consitution.”

It is time to take action and remove the sitting President from office due to his gross negligence that undermined our national security, led to the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, and resulted in a grave humanitarian crisis.

“It is time to take action and remove the sitting President from office due to his gross negligence that undermined our national security, led to the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, and resulted in a grave humanitarian crisis,” he said.

Biden said Thursday the United States will complete its evacuation of Americans and others from Kabul, despite the attack that killed at least 13 U.S. service members and many Afghan civilians.

As of Friday morning, the death toll rose above 100.

The White House said Friday that another 12,500 people had been evacuated over the past 24 hours.

Biden vowed to avenge the deaths, saying the U.S. will hunt down the perpetrators. Continuing the evacuation means Biden risks more deaths, but the alternative would be an early end to the pullout and leaving Americans behind.

As many as 1,000 Americans and many more Afghans are still struggling to get out.

Get rid of the obama tactics. Hiden Biden is always being told what to do. He hasn't the mental capacity to lead and I don't think the call girl will either. No mettle there. See how long this will stay up. I don't know the name of the person calling the shots is but it looks like the anti American tactics of obummer. Commie at least. Still trying to break the US. How long are people going to allow this? Be Well, RZ.

honestly I don't want a government where every President faces impeachment every time he makes a mistake.

I didn't like it when they went after Trump and even though there are valid reasons to discuss it over Biden, the bar needs to be higher

Ain’t gonna happen.

SLOJoe will have a “slip & fall” accident when he’s no longer a useful idiot to the Commie Socialist DemoRat’s.

Or they’ll “COVID” his sorry ass.

"I know there is the temptation to look at the events in Afghanistan as some major failure of the Biden Administration, but it is not. This is who Biden has always been, what he ran on in the election, what everyone knew he would do, how he would sell out to the communist regime in China, do their bidding when he got into office. It was why they had to steal the election, because so many of us knew what a traitor, what a corrupt politician he was, that there was evidence of the bribes he took, verified by the courts in Ukraine. The fact of his mental incapacity only seemed to cement that he could not and should not be placed in control of the nation and its military forces. We now see why.

This is on the Republicans. They knew of the election fraud, but none of them wanted to acknowledge it, because it would benefit Trump, someone getting between them and their graft. They knew of Biden’s mental limitations and Kamala Harris’ constitutional problems (not a “natural-born" citizen). Without that counter-balancing force of politics, voted for by the people to maintain a contentious political system to ensure that no political party is allowed to operate in the dark, there is no republic. The Republican Party failed its obligation to act as a control to fraudulent and absolute power.

Trump symbolized the American people who raised him up, voted for him, because he was not like all of the other corrupt, bought-off politicians on that stage during the first Republican primary debate representing nothing other than a false choice. Trump promised to secure the border, to make America great again, to disengage in useless wars and rebuild the military, the way it had been up until the uniparty began to control every election, playing musical chairs with the presidency and using Dominion to secure it. For many, Trump was finally the solution to the corruption in Washington DC.

The debacle in Afghanistan is just a symptom, a by-product of crooked politicians and traitors, if they are not, in fact, the same thing. If we allow the Republicans to come out and rail against the Democrats, we’re just falling for the bait and switch that allowed our nation to fall into the disarray it suffers from today.

None of the military higher-command can do anything other than take full responsibility for this mess. They swore an oath to defend the constitution, the proper and rightful elections that secure for us the leaders we deserve and that works both ways. Where we elect corrupt, inept and ridiculous leaders we get corrupt, inept and ridiculous policy, but when the vote is manipulated, it is a coup, treason denying the people the ability to rectify their mistakes. Joe Biden was forced on the nation through fraud. He was not a mistake made by the people, but by the politicians, especially the Republicans, who did not effectively and immediately challenge that fraud."

Being incompetent isn't a reason for impeachment.

Article !! Section 4. The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

I believe he was bribed by the Chinese while Vice President, but getting anyone to care is the problem.

That news has been out there for years.

There is no depths of depravity which the Biden family won't plumb.

Impeachment is a political hack move. It’s all optics, costs piles of money, and only puts self serving politicians in front of the cameras to pontificate about how savvy they are, so their constituents think they’re awesome.

25th Amendment would be a huckleberry....But, that won’t happen, either.

The swamp will tell Biden it’s time he develops a nonreversible health condition and needs to step aside.

Bank on it.

I'm betting he'll make it the full 4 years unless he drops dead from a stroke etc. He isn't making the decisions now regardless, so why would they yank him?

Dershowitz had an article yesterday that this mess is no more valid of impeachment than trumps were. Simply doesn't rise to that level.

Unfortunately there's been calls for impeachment on every president since at least Clinton , so much so it has no effect
