If Elder wins, watch for them to do what they did in Mass when Romney was Governor.

The law was if a Senate seat became vacant, the Governor got to appoint his replacement who would serve out the remainder of the term.

When John Kerry was running for President in 04 & Romney was Governor, they changed the law to take away the ability to appoint someone to fill the vacancy. Instead there would be a special election held. Ted Kennedy was behind that.

Then when Kennedy was dying and it was known he would be replaced he lobbied again for the law to be changed so the current Governor, Deval Patrick (D) would be able to appoint someone to fill the seat until a special election could be held.
That was done so the D's could hold onto their 60 vote super majority in the Senate.

If CA law allows it, they will do the same there to keep Elder from appointing someone to fill the seat.

Elder has about as much of a chance at victory as Trump had at winning in 2020, and for the same reason.

Anyone that thinks elections in CA are honest and fair, need a lobotomy.

Hard to be optimistic for Elder or most conservative candidates here considering the votes go to County Clerk Of Courts office where they're counted by California career public entity employees.

This is the stupidest run campaign I have ever seen. All these conservatives running and not bringing up the real issues why the governor should be replaced. Newsome in bed with PG&E (they donated $200,000 to him), Soros the police hater and socialist donated $1,000,000 to his campaign, why did his winery get 3.5 million stimulis with 14 employes while the guy down the road only got three hundred thousand with 44 employes (Aunt Nancy perhaps) Anyway, you get my jist of it. A lot more that could be brought up but won't happen
