hookeye,

You need to have that gallbladder, and the associate stones, taken out. It will take a few months to one year for your guts to adjust to not having it and then you will be able to eat most anything you want. I fought those gall stones for a year or so. Up all night walking the floor, taking 2:00am walks thru the neighborhood, jumping up and down trying to move the stones. I was miserable and now am so glad I took care of it.

I agree, get it fixed, you'll be glad you did. Speaking from experience.

I have no opinion on your gallbladder, but your chances of contracting AIDS will take an uptick.

I hate fake scheidt.
Those costumes are freakin hilarious. Even if I liked the music I couldn’t watch grown men do that.

I went to Culvers a week after I had mine out this spring. I haven't found anything that bothers it yet. Well, wait does stomach swelling count?
Just behave yourself you don't want to get your pancreas involved as well.

You'll really be shocked at how good stuff tastes when you get it out. One of the best things I have yet to top is Colby Jack cheese.

Fuggin' A Bubba!!

Our own Kingston and his lovely wife treated me to a steak dinner after it was out, I gotta say that was one of the best steaks I've ever had.
I slapped some colby slices on white hamburger buns, w Claussen dill slices and some steak pepper seasoning.
Couple of those were my dinner. No issues.

That would have sent me to the ER in about 15 fugging minutes.

I had to run on 3 grams of fat or less per eating. took 4 or 5 trips to the ER to figure it out but I went almost 2 years with it.
Yeah, see what happens in a few hours.
My bad gallbladder didn't seem to care what I ate. It attacked at random times. I eat pretty much whatever I want now. I never liked rich foods before, so not like my diet changed regardless though.
Never had gall bladder issues. I'm courious can you eat fish without suffering? Crab, salmon or bottom fish fill protein needs. While tasting great!

Like you, my attacks seemed pretty random, and when I felt one coming, I knew what I was in for for the next 4 hours. My diet didn't seem to affect it, had a mind of its own. I do disagree with the 'in a year or so you'll be fine'. Nah,,,,20 years and I still have to be careful and mindful of what my digestive tract is telling me. Every once in a while I just baaaaarley make it to the restroom in time.

I think mostly it gets irritated with either large servings of meat and or fatty meat.
It took a long time to figure out my gallbladder was crapping out... no gall stones so they didn't show up and the function test showed it was squirting out what it needed to.... surgeon figured I'd developed food allergies... I didn't eat any gluten for a year.... still had episodes.

Had a 3rd type of test done that collected a sample... I had gall crystals so out came the gallbladder. By this time I'd spoken with a lot of guys that had theirs taken out.... the general consensus was "I don't eat triple cheese burger anymore but otherwise I'm good".

I had lost 35 pounds by this time. I was really looking forward to eating enjoyable food again. I spent a lot of time watching "cooking porn" on You Tube, plotting my return to good food.

My system never got back to close to normal. Apparently once in awhile the digestive system never really come back.... I am able to wear old blue jeans I never would have thought I'd fit into again so I've got that going for me.

Good luck, Most people do great....
