Highway robbery nonsense. The crime is reckless driving. The problem is going after reckless drivers is more work and less stealing.

We are pot legal in the People’s Republik of Konnecticut. They started playing commercials about driving stoned. Almost as funny as the op’s video.

If pot is legal in your state, can the fire you for pot in your body? It stays in you for 6 weeks, allegedly. How about pre-employment screenings, random drug tests???

Most places, including here are using a saliva test for THC instead of a urine test. This shows current use, not what you did last weekend. Random drug testing is not done here, but some larger industrial employers are requiring testing for new hires and usually mandates it after and accident or incident.

A lot of employers have given up drug testing. First, so many people get high now days and second, so many employers are desperate to hire anybody.

WHOA!!! Wait a minute. Isn't proof of a clean drug test the same as proving vax status? My body, my choice? I'm surprised no heads exploded here over this like they have over the vaccine!!

Legal in Oregon, but employers can demand a clean slate.

Not empirical, but I seem to have noticed much more weird driving since Alaska legalized pot.

No connection at all- probably just my imagination.....

Especially Subaru drivers! smile

Do you drive a Subaru?

We have random testing, especially after holiday weekends. Someone goes down the road once in a while. The busted an entire department some years ago, six gone, couple over 20 years in.

I am employed in Oregon. According to our contract popping positive for MJ is the same as popping positive for any other intoxicant including ETOH. Blow a .01 on the breathalyzer and you will either be looking for a new job, or a recovery program.

Still on the feds list so all DOT drivers have to comply regardless of state law.

I was talking to my son yesterday, he lives in a Chicago suburb. He said a lot of companies have discontinued pre-employment drug tests since pot is legal in IL. now.
