Anyone had an ADL with a balky follower/spring? This one wants to tilt and bind no matter what I have tried. Tips? Tricks?

It's a new 700 so maybe they changed something? Who knows
Have you tried whoring out the spring by leaving a full complement of ammo in it a few days/weeks?
I load it and it tilts and binds to where it doesn't even leave the top round reachable by the bolt sometimes.

Take it out stretch it & stretch the direction away from the tilt ya don't like.

It's spring steel, it don't mind if ya don't go overboard.

If it's totally had it, it will let you know by breaking.
It's new. Just thought maybe the mag box is for a specific cartridge and shape is wrong or something
You summoning 'Stick?? lol. He had a thread on some site that went into fixin such things. I cant seem to find it tho...
God I hope not. He can stay under his toadstool.

LOL! Well, what did ya do so far? Did ya take it apart and see if the box is seated right? If its not thatll do what youre sayin. And look at the follower, its stamped and sometimes even new are not shaped right. I always put milled followers in after Stick helped me with some issues. Look the spring where it sits in the follower, does it look right? Its not rocket science. Shouldnt be a need to stretch the spring.
Either the box is tilted or shaped wrong or the follower is somehow fugged up. Or maybe the end of the spring is getting caught under the box when I tighten it all up. I dunno. I will give it a closer look.
Check where it sits in the stock. Aint unusual to have to dig at it to get em to sit right. Remington quality lol
To me, it sounds as if it’s not assembled correctly.
Next step is gonna be for me to put a strip of tape over the spring so it's captive in the box. No fidgeting that way either
Is it ADL or BDL. If it’s BDL it’s got a hinged floorplate. and by chance if its been removed And then replaced upside down it will do just what your talking about. If it’s ADL it has a blind magazine and the spring just sits in the bottom but could have been reversed.
Say what you like but stick does have the Remington mag boxes all figured out period. Helped me with the problems I had with my 87 270 ADL. Mb
It's ADL.
Stick’s tutorial thread is called “Start at the Fugking start”. It isn’t full of fairy tales, at least the tutorial part.
They never had fed correct

Check out Sticks youtube channel.
Busheler. Hint
Slide the follower either forward or backwards on the spring. See what position works.

Make sure the box is positioned correctly by looking at the half moon cut out on the box and align it with the feed ramp.

I have had the same problem many years back when I was playing almost exclusively with 700's.With the BDL it is simple to drop the floor plate and reverse the spring. With the ADL, you'll have to pull it out of the stock and fiddle with it. It's a solvable problem.

Here it is.....

Did this get fixed?
What caliber?
30-06. Yes I took it apart and the out it together again and it works. I think I had the tip of the spring trapped under the mag box in the stock
