You folks inoculating there too? Something in the cooler?
Kids need knives. Scouts used to have a "Totin' Chip" that one got after learning a few things about knives and axes and such. Your boy would probably be shunned or something in a city.
Yupper, he's worn a track around the tree tryin to keep his eyes on the tree rats.
We don't have them here, but our big guy, Breeze, used to try to get the introduced fox squirrels when the wife lived in the Sacramento CA area. Would lay with his nose poking open the dog door flap while looking out the door, ready to jump out whenever one came over the fence for a peach or acorn. Wish I could find those pics.
Brother Fubar, that looks very familiar. White Rim Trail?
Probably the toughest mountain biking trip I've ever been on, and I wasn't shy about sharing my feelings about the climbs (I actually liked climbing those trails, I just always flip off the camera).

Good eye brother Remsen, yes White Rim, from the top with tourist unfortunatly. This pic was a few miles East below Dead horse point, looking towards white Rim, a long ways from the tourist..
Antlers.... remember a trip we took to Crested Butte 7 days..... Rented condo at 9200' rode mtn bikes up from there........ I'd fuggin' die at that today.....
I went up to 10,200β today, but I was afoot. I love gettinβ high. Literally.
Iβve got a lot of this USA to see yet. Been in Alaska and to the end of the Keys but never run out of country. Beautiful There is lots of good country kids left in America. You just hear about the losers. Edk
A couple of different versions of sunset on the prairies. The first is a very long lonely road, the 2nd was a view from our campsite and the 3rd was from a back roads tour - caught the sunset with a large flock of migrating song birds.
Growing up there was an abandoned citrus grove truck like that, not the equipment behind, but a cab like that and a flatbed, weeds growing around it, right on the corner of the grove and the maze field. We played in it, used it as a fort... good memories.
[quote=HughW]Been playing find-em with my furry partner. He has really come into his own this.
Toller? Handsome pup with a good nose apparently.
Yes -- Male Toller, great nose and great drive on bird hunting. When we got Finn I had chosen to stay on upland to try and keep my fitness level of up. He certainly has helped in retirement. This picture is at a pheasant festival -- he found 17 of 18 released for his 1/2 day.

I would like to compliment you on your cock..... but that would be sooo gay..... nice ditch chickens....
I'm not a pilot but sometimes I get to ride along. This was a weekend trip from Houston, Texas to Chanute, Kansas back in November 2008. A friend (who was the pilot) and I went to visit the Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum in Chanute, Kansas.
If you are referring to the sturgeon pic I am sure it's catch & release for the big ones. Some places have slot sizes you can keep, but most are catch & release only
The stamp was rented from a concrete construction equipment supply place in Ottumwa Iowa. Carrols maybe? It was a brand new rental they had just gotten in. My wife asked one of the clerks who said they didnβt have one but another guy heard the conversation and told her they had just received one in, so it all worked out. She had recently seen one in a restaurant we frequent and really wanted it on our west porch. Itβs coming along, slowly sometimes. Currently waiting on some 8x8 beams we need for the second floor loft area.
Area 50 Valley coming off big overgrown cutting spot. Aint been in here for about 2 weeks Really silent and still in here this morning. Bout 10 mins ago was seeing some back and belly lines off in the distance in this pic ( west) moving to the north. Acorns down all over the place walking with the flashlight bout an hour ago

Are you implying he needs to wear a face mask?
LOL!!!
I knew a selfie would bring out the commentsπππππ
I do wear a mask. Deer get smart and recognize a human face. The eyes........ They see your eyes and white skin face.

Can you imagine the day a rightfully proud fella brought that new metal monster home? I saw some historical photos from around 1910 of the Ollie Montana area and a sod busting machine brought out for that purpose. I had no idea such massive steam driven machines even existed for that purpose. It was huge.
On hill 665 area 50 Best described as a giant starfish like terrian feature when seen on a map with contour . Got 5 ridges and 4 valleys all convering into saddles to each other 360 around. Bout 300 yds south of where I sat yesterday then still hunted thru back to truck . Places where you feet roll from all the acorns on the ground. Lots of deer sign.

2 does, 3 fawns, 1 forky been in da house. All been feeding within 50 yds of me this morning at various times. I guarantee if I been wearing orange which appears dayglow out of place white to them. I woulda been pegged numerous times from a distance.
Oct 29th - early morning from our goose blind in Northern Alberta --steady streams of snow geese heading south. I only had my pocket camera and tried to get a few flocks with the moon in the background. Pretty cool sights and sounds.
This flock was mid October in an area where we had a couple of really good snow goose hunts. This field was tied up by an outfitter -- sure hope they came back in for the clients like in that picture.
One never knows what one will find hanging on a pasture fence.
We've been here five years next month, and I've been near this part of the fence many times. There's a small gate to the field just 10' or so to the right of where this was hanging. Right nearby is an old rick made of pallets for holding hay I think. I put a couple of juniper saplings I cut down next to the fence there yesterday and glanced over and said "something don't look right there"
I'm guessing someone used it to cut some baler string or such and just hung it there for whatever reason. Scales have disappeared off the handle.
No rust to speak of, as it's stainless with aluminum (?) frame, still opened OK. It's now got some Kroil on it and sitting for a day or so. I'll sharpen it up some and then stick it on the pants I wear around for doing yardwork. I misplaced the El Cheapo, $5 buy a ticket at the NRA banquet gun raffle and get a pocketknife just a couple of weeks ago. I'll take a free replacement, and if I end up hanging it on a fence, no love lost, eh?
He's a bad ass, and the wimminz dig him. Just like they do me.
Mining claim I found while trapping last winter from the early 70's. The jar had been through a fire and the paper was singed and too fragile to really get a good look at, so I couldn't get any more specifics.
We think this is the house our parents lived in the first couple years after they married, The nails - what there were - were square - looked hand made.
Correct...and one of the bigger ones for the area.
Lots of 7 gill and a few leopards and rays came up as well.
Way cool for a fishhead like me. Never saw one "in the round" so to speak, just pickled in fish class. First glance I thought dogfish, then I thought gray smoothhound, then I got out the book!

As long as it was fun. Hope the boat is all ship shape for crab season. Are they expecting a good one. Are the test ones coming up pretty well filled out?
After mulling over stuff for the last 3 or 4 weeks. I took off the Sightron SII 3-9x42 on the .45 Kodiak pro mag. Put it away for a spare in case one of the other 3 on my centerfires takes a dump.... Was a toss up between a burris FF II 3-9Γ40 or this Crimson Trace Brushline 3-9Γ40. Both priced similar
Burris kinda limited on total MOA versus the Crimson Trace. Which you might need with a ML... Burris was a fast focus occular Crimson trace is a lock ring occular
Never been a fan of fast focus The occulars are usually can shaped and oversized IMO. Plus that inner and outer sleeve assembly equals extra parts and screams water and crap gets in the gap...
Burris factory in phillipines cant find much info on em. Crimson trace factory in phillipines supposedly factories that made nikon and sightron scopes.
Crimson trace turret adjustments firm and positive, well defined.. Burris seemed faint and soft, hard to feel it seemed, too light.
Bought the Crimson Trace. Head out to slumlords tommorow and zero the wpn. Gonna play around with blue harvester crush rib sabots and the .40 cal 195 gr barnes bullet combo.
And the same .40 cal 195 gr barnes bullet with the tan sabot I have been using forever.
TC Thunderhawk, unusable for many due to non-removable breech[a dinosaur]. Carbine length, 50 cal Shoot Knight 260 gr sabots/90 gr FFG And a Weaver w/see thru's to boot! And it's my all time fav to shoot!

Bore sighted yesterday on a knot on a tree in backyard thru man cave window about 45 yds away.
Ran down back fired a shot. Did my barrel cleaning rountine for hunting.
Went out to slumlords this morning. 50 yard sight in 1st shot. Did cleaning rountine for hunting barrel. Put adjustments on scope x2 per 50 yrds.
2nd shot on the bull.
Back at house now. Doing cleaning routine for hunting barrel. Put 2 up and 2 left on scope. Run out to slumlords thursday or friday take a 3rd shot at 100 on same tgt. Take 1 or 2 more after that possibly depending on how close to the bull the 3rd shot is.
CVA Kodiak pro mag .45 29 inch bergara fluted barrel 95 grs 777 2f powder Harvester crush rib blue sabot with .40 barnes 195gr ml expander Win 209 primer Crimson Trace 3-9Γ40 Brushline .
Have always wanted to try the harvester sabot versus the mmp tan sabot the Barnes come with. Change of scope was the time to do it.
