What was on the bare shelves you see now?

In your area

What can you speculate will be the next goods that you may be unable to get?

***This is not about ammo or other reloading components.***

Spare parts?
Certain dry goods, food stuffs?
Oil, heating fuel?

What would you seek out and attempt to stock up?

I am noticing bare shelves at some grocery stores.
Cars, boats, SXS, atv's ...... was shocked the other day apparently fishing poles and reels are scarce now also

Add guns and ammo and thatā€™s mostly my world.
We have the COVTARDS to thank..... but I have been told we shouldn't criticize them here.

High end beef cuts like ribeye. You can buy it, but it's expensive. At Sam's Club today, I think it was just under $22/lb. If you want to buy four or five pounds of ground beef it was less than $5/lb.

Cars and trucks. Dealers calling everybody constantly with a buyback program.

Appliances are tough. Central AC units are steadily climbing.

Cheapest gas is running $3.05-3.09/gal. See people in the stores buying up water and paper products like there was a hurricane around the block.
Seeing bare shelves.
Even more shelves faced to look full., but there is only one row across the front.

Wife noticed no canned cat food at Wal-Mart tonight.
We don't buy it, but she noticed.
Wasn't much schidt paper either. Enough, but not all flavors and not
tons of any.

Been a huge scarcity of good news about the state of our country!
I havenā€™t seen bare shelves so much as Iā€™ve seen price increases mostly across the board from fuel to groceries to housing. Makes sense given that the market hasnā€™t crashed because products are still available be it at higher prices.
Respect for law and order.
Schools canā€™t get food for lunches. Almost impossible to get chicken.

Schools canā€™t buy it at the same places we do. They must buy from certain distributors, and those distributors are choosing to sell to higher profit customers (civilian grocery stores, restaurants). Which makes sense.

Guaranteed that your local district is having a hard time. Ask someone who works in the school lunch program.
Other than ammo, haven't seen any of the above.

Same here. Dealers have ads on the radio every day saying they'll come to you to buy your cars/trucks.

Itā€™s my favorite cheese; I like it way better than mayonnaise; and I mix it with my Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve.

Yuk, yuk and yuk. But I'm sorry you can't get any if it's what you prefer.
Velveeta is seed oil and processed flavors. It isn't cheese.

I'm sorry for your loss.

ā€œPasteurized Recipe Cheese Productā€ right on the box...!
Dry goods mostly. Been short on pasta.

But weird stuff like pickles too.

Chicken did take a big jump recently. Pork too.

I rarely look at beef prices.

Auto and ag parts are harder to come by.
Arizona Iced tea, Skittles and puzzy.

Braggart!!
Went to the Dollar Gen yesterday

Instead of having 20+ different kinds of kidā€™s cereals, just had about 6 and a space about 15ft long just bare.

A lot of the canned Campbells soups and chili, beef stew all bare shelves

Did have plenty of Vienna sausages and Tuna though

Not a lot of crackers and snack goods.

One other area, the plastic totes and bins and organizer boxes. All that completely cleaned out. And that has been like that since mid summer.
Brainsā€¦.brains are scarce around the Seattle metro area.
Bold and Spicy A1.... Yeah it's a BIG deal!
Real tree edge pattern hunting clothes.

3 walmarts.
Found a pair of 36 38 pants.
My size is 32 34.

Go to a buckethead tailor to get 2 1 inch pleats put on waist line.
Hemmed up pant line 4 inches.
Tells me in englishkoreanese be ready monday.
11 dollar.
I say 20 and takes you 15 min to do right now.
She wasnt doing squat when I walked in....

Ok that problem solved....
Throw money at it....

Now to find a matching shirt.
Academy.....

Great....
Med and lrg only.

Wanting a 2 xl...
Start rat fugging thru the rack.
Zilch....
Bunching stuff stuck in back of the racks on bottom of shelfs
from customers and lazy clerks not putting schit back on the hangers.
I had like 5 piles of clothing on the floor from doing that schit.
Found a 2xl
Left the piles their in the aisle....
I bet a clerk walked by and just stuffed it all back in behind all the clothes on the rack again.

Price of motor oil has fugging skyrocketed also....

Honk for Joey and his chinese overlords........
People that work for a living.

Can't say for certain if there's actual shortages of usual grocery and household products or shelves haven't been restocked yet due to employee shortage.

Seems like every time we are shopping at Walmart, DG / FD , and a couple of other local stores we shop most often at, it's common anymore for aisles to be partially blocked with pallets of products either staged waiting to be restocked or in the process of being restocked.

The most obvious thing here so far to me has been overall price increases.

My question -- are price increases due to actual shortages of products causing wholesale price increases, or, ...simply because they can...?

The only things I have noticed wanting here is housing prices are going up as people escape the cities, and international mail is a couple of weeks longer.
Common senseā€¦
My wife does all the grocery shopping so I haven't seen the bare shelves. Never cared for liberals and after seeing what one can do in less than a year is frightening. Life's about change, but this really sucks. FBiden

There is no labor pool. About 50 young white people holding signs on every corner of town though. Weā€™re a big college town and friends in retail/restaurants said thereā€™s hardly any college kids working part time gigs.
No real shortages here but prices are higher. Restaurants are curtailing hours.
Things seem to be compounding.

People will start calling for the federal government to step in and please "help" them. Governments love crises.

Velveeta makes a good grilled sandwich.

They create the problems so they can scam in some way. joes mistakes and poor decisions are a plan. He is a great puppet for evil.
Hard to get brisket and beef in general.
I bet the deer are going to take a big hit this season. Guys will be using that tag more than once I bet.

When meat gets scare so will wild game. If times get real tough it would be impossible to live off of game.
Sitting in a tree this breezy morning im noticing a shortage of deer.......

Ammo
Good beef has been scarce in regular grocery stores for years. I need to travel to a Costco or a high-end store like Wegmans for Prime or even Choice sometimes. I assume they stock what sells, and this area probably doesnā€™t support a market for expensive cuts.

Iā€™ve seen a few more empty spots on the shelves lately, but mostly in the paper aisle. Fewer choices, but always some, and none of that Canadian TP as yet. Canned meat, flour, sugar, and other prepper stuff is abundant.
There are a few things I haven't been able to find since this crap started. The big jars of sliced, pickled jalapeƱos, tricolor rotini pasta, half gallon ziplock freezer bags. There's always the gourmet/expensive stuff but otherwise the pasta shelves have been pretty empty.

Similar to the ammo shortage, it seems to be the cheapest stuff that's in shortest supply.

What isn't scarce are chickens and goats. Every other house now has chickens and at least one house on the block will have goats.
Same stuff as last year.

No major changes thus far.
Crackers.

Wtf is the deal with empty cracker shelves?

On the cargo containers from Chinah too?
Common sense. Most things though are pretty random. Dog food was noticeable yesterday at the local grocer. Plenty of TP. Long lines at the pumps driving past Sam's. I think I paid $3.499 for rattler fuel two days ago. Glory days.

Public hunting and quail.
Bottled water, breakfast sausage is what I've noticed. We usually buy 20 lbs or so when it's on sale, and it hasn't been on sale for months and months. Now it's to the point there are weeks there isn't any of what we usually buy.

Going to grow a big garden again next year, have half a beef ordered for December and two pigs for the year. Still have a week for deer season.

Don't know if it is related, but retail sales shot up at the farm yesterday to almost three times normal. Wouldn't surprise me if it was, we saw a huge uptick last year when beef got scarce.
Just asked my wife, she said there are lots of bare shelves.

Frozen food, bottled water, random chit, etc..

Luckily I never have to step foot in our crowded little store so I don't have a clue.

But I do shop for beer at 2 different c-stores. Stella and my back-up Heineken are hard to find. Lots of domestic 'beer' though.

Common sense critically low here.
Electrical parts like residential circuit breakers in Az.

I heard it was toothbrushes in WVA

Supply and demand LMAO
Don't go to Costco very often but went yesterday to stock up on dry goods and cleaning supplies. The only thing they had a limit on was tp. Beef and pork were sky high, bought a bunch of chicken legs and thighs for 79 cents a pound. Prices on the dry goods seemed normal. No bare shelves at all though.

There has been a critical shortage of money around here since the destruction of the timber industry by the Peanut Farmer prez.

Local woman does custom baking and cooks ready to eat meals daily buys the ingredients and essential supplies in bulk. She just recently posted an apology for her price increases, stating it was necessary or else just quit altogether because over the past year all her prices have doubled and tripled or more on some stuff.
Plenty of motor oil in quart bottles but the gallon jugs aren't usually available. Of course the qts. cost more per ounce than the big jugs. Not a large selection a anti-freeze seen.

Most snacks, condiments juices & such are available but not in certain or sometimes preferred brands. Thinking that's a damn WM ploy. Haven't been able to find Negra Modelo or Pacifico. Even the mex restaurants have been out of it for weeks.

Buds had about 14 pallets of ammo sitting in the lobby last week, all stacked 3-4 feet high. But money would be in short supply to purchase any of it.

Starting to look like ground beef under clear wrap that you can inspect is becoming a thing of the past. About all we see are those damn "chubs" they call the. Never know what your gettin.

Tri color rotini...Iā€™ll have pay more attention.

Chiggun cortors were still .59cent a bag last night at the food lion. Thought about grabbing one but they were immersed on puddles of icky pink blood. gag

The motor oil in quarts are hard find by the case here locally. This new bag oā€™ oil shĆ®t from friggim-all industries is the thing right now. What a GD mess that was. šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜©

Bought Wifey a pasta attachment for the mixer. Easy, cheap, and very good. One batch makes enough for four meals for two.

Alas, no rotini, and her attempt at colored pasta flopped, color-wise anyway.

Our two freezers are packed, mostly with our fruit and veggies, but also about a deer and a half.
