I’ve done extensive research on Bible Prophecy for over 35 years, and I read the Bible in the 2000+ yr old Koine Greek (just so you know my credentials, and that I’m not blowing smoke). Short and sweet, here are my findings:

The first beast of Revelation 13 that comes up out of the sea is Leviathan (not Satan). An ancient creature that was one of the first of God’s creations in Genesis 1. Yahweh described him in the book of Job.

The second beast of Revelation 13, that comes up out of the earth is Nimrod/Osiris. This is a half-man, half-fallen angel hybrid, also called Nephilim in Genesis 6. The main goal of CERN is to open a portal to the Underworld/Hades, to release this being, and make him king over all the Satanic Elite (aka the Antichrist). Their goal in doing this is to defeat Christ at his return.

I think we answered the original question. If you stay up to speed on the prophetical books such as Daniel, Matthew, Thessalonians, and Revelations it's really not that complicated. I would heed the warning and not add anything to these writings.

I would say you are getting close. Nimrod is the Son of Perdition. Cern is designed to open a portal in which Moloch comes through and the middle of Cern is directly above Apollo's temple.............Abaddon in Hebrew but Apollyon in Greek. With any decent research will reveal that Apollyon was Nimrod who began to become a giant/Nephilim. Leviathan was technically was Lucifer's creation in the first Earth age.
I would argue that the goal of the Nephilim and Lucifer is to defeat the Hebrews who passed through the Caucus Mountains and were no longer known as Hebrews any more. They were known from that point on by another name. Jag should know the other name.

Jude says a lot about Enoch in one simple little verse.............. a lot. First, Enoch was one of three who never died. I would think that was kind of important. Important enough one should want to get to know him real well. Jude also hints of a lineage. Adams lineage is not the same as Eve's. Gee, I wonder why? The question is what else is it saying besides black and white. The Greeks also used numbers (numbers don't lie) for words so for instance, "white" in Koine Greek is number G3022 (in some places, here I took it from Rev.) and it translates to English as...light, bright, brilliant.
Reading and interpreting a Bible with just "black and white" will net you zilch in understanding.

I do not have that much knowledge but let me give it the old College try.

Lets first start with Adam and Eve which is the reason I posted about the lineages. Reading a coded book in "black and white" is very dangerous if truth is what you are looking for. For instance, if the Bible was truly written that way and is the inspired infallible word of God, then why couldn't he get the lineages correct? One lineage has Jesus descending from the Tribe of Judah, another has him descending from the Tribe of Ephraim. It cannot be both.
So, why is Adam's lineage not the same as Eve's. The parable of the Wheat and the Tares has many meanings with one of them being an enemy has come in and sowed tares. Look at it this way, in the case of Eve, an enemy had sex with her, just like what happened 3 chapters later in the Bible. Lucifer planted his seed in Eve and she got a "man" child (interesting way of saying that about Cain wouldn't you say). Cain was half Angel (lucifer) and half human (Eve). Cain was known as a Nephilim and left to go East to Nod where there were more Nephilim. According to many writings, the Quran being one, the had to be "re-newed" because Lucifer and his merry band trouble makers screwed up the first Earth. Not only did they cross with other "human" creations then, they did with animals, plants, ect. We call it the dinosaur age. The real caveat for us humans to lookout for is this, Lucifer and his angels mirror what we and or God creates, thus it gives the appearance of being us, but deep inside it is a ravenous beast.

For me, regarding all of these Biblical and Christian and theological discussions that arise on this forum sometimes, I conclude that what made Christianity so attractive in the first few centuries of its existence was Jesus’ resurrection. And I believe that a renewed focus on that can make Christianity attractive to people again.

Even though some of the Bible really troubles a lotta people, and causes them to struggle with doubt...understandably so...those things pale in comparison to the reality of Jesus rising from the dead. Even if the Bible contains allegory, and even if a literal interpretation of everything in the Bible isn’t possible or realistic for many...that does nothing to undermine the reality of Jesus’ resurrection and the claims that He made about Himself.

That’s not denying the Bible, it’s simply saying that...for me...I’ve gotta first start with a resurrected Jesus, and then make the case for the Bible, and not the other way around. No matter what one thinks about the Bible, if Jesus is risen from the dead, then Christianity is true. Period.

I do not believe that Christianity is true just because an inerrant Bible says so. For me, Christianity would still be true even if the Bible were never written. I accept the story of Jesus’ resurrection, and how I look at the Bible flows from the truth of that event. My view of Scripture follows from my understanding of who the Resurrected Jesus really is, and not the reverse.

I find it interesting that Dwight Moody was at the battle Shilo, but every he said is just as true today.

This is a great question that I have asked myself more than a few times. Some passages sound like it's a man and others sound like it's a system.

It's a little too late to get into it now in details, but hears some points I like to remind myself of.

A. The Bible is infallible
B. The Bible is like a puzzle in that each piece has a place, but sometimes takes a while to find them as well as get the big picture.
C. If something seems confusing or contradictory, then it's because I need to search with Help of the Holy Spirit, because I just don't quite get where the puzzle pieces go.

Now I suggest a possibility that may not have been considered after the following example.

Who is the Antichrist of Revelation?
Let's compare "The antichrist" to those many antichrists that John warned about.

I John 2:18
"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time."

2 nd and 1st John's epistles define who is an antichrist.
Revelation also gives descriptions of him.

My view is that both descriptions John gave are correct.
Likewise, please consider this.....
Is it possible that there is a man of sin, an antichrist in the last days who exalts himself as God AND be many antichrists from the time John wrote those?

1. There are things that used to be a mystery and seemed contradictory, that are now clear after understanding rules for interpretation and the bigger picture.
2. If there's something in the Bible that I don't understand, it's because it's a Divinely inspired Book and I am just a simple man with many limitations.

I will post your chosen verse in context so we can see a little more of the picture of these puzzle pieces.

Revelation chapter 1

Three tenses are described. No time frame other than those are mentioned. One thing seems clear is that the churches described in the first three chapters are "shortly come to pass"...were to be judged. Those were not 7 ages, but rather literal churches established by apostles and the assisting pastors who followed them. The first verse you refered to does not necessarily mean that God was talking about that time period after the thousand year rebellion when the devil would be released from hell for a short season. I see the statement as a significant charge for all believers to note how the early churches were judged and given as good and bad examples to learn from.

See chapter 4
"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter."

Another future event is given. It occurs after those churches existed. It is future from John's perspective. The time issue is not contradictory. Not every event of the Revelation was supposed to happen that afternoon. Later in the book is the thousand year reign of Christ and He lets the devil out of prison. The devil acts according to his nature and is cast into the lake of fire forever.

Can you see what the Bible is talking about time wise in regards to the first passage? Is that clearer now muffin?

The Revelation was written to real people, in the real churches named in Asia Minor, and they were told (in cryptic, apocryphal language) what was going to happen in their lifetimes...soon.

And the fulfillment happened in 70AD.

Any other interpretation makes the scriptures nothing but a deception to those who originally received the writings.

Just like in the Olivet Discourse, where Jesus answers the question regarding "the end" and he tells his audience it will happen to that generation...before they are all dead.

Of course, C.S. Lewis thought Jesus was a false prophet....that he was wrong about his second coming!

I say Lewis was wrong about the nature of the second coming....so he cannot possibly be correct about the timing!

Just like the first century Jews were wrong about the nature of the first coming...and (for the most part) missed it.

I never looked to CS Lewis for biblical insight. He was friends with some great writers like JRR Tolkien though.

As to many prophesies, there is a double fulfillment. Sometimes there are near as well as far prophesies.
I don't worry much if someone holds different views on prophesy, but see a bit more every time I read the Bible through.

The abomination of desolation I think you are referring to in 70AD had an immediate fulfillment, but there's more yet to come when the Antichrist will set up his throne in the new temple yet to be built.

The sacrifice in the Temple on the Altar was the centerpiece of the practice of the Jews. And it could only be performed by the Levitical Priests. The same guys who were also the only ones authorized to collect Tithes (hint, hint).

I'll say it one more time for you. The Beast you are referring to is a system, that system is something many wonder after. It is the Church and it's teachings. What I have just said is every where in that book called the Bible and is hinted in every other belief known to mankind. Matthew, Luke, John, Rev. just to name a few taught what this very thing, but there is no money in this teaching and that is why there are many false prophets, false Christs, ect. I do believe Revelation is probably the most abused, misunderstood writing in the entire Bible (among Christians, anyway).

Regarding antichrist, I believe John told us there were already many antichrists in the world, during the first century. I do not get too hung up on trying to label one fellow or another as "the one".
