Should have never made that movie,ā€ Rambuttā€, with Rock Hudson in the early years.

Rambo died in the book. No sequels.

Stallone has parlayed mega bucks with making the Rambo and Rocky series.

You know heā€™s good buddies with Chuck Norris, right?

I watch them. Those of Chuck Norrisā€™ also.

Didnā€™t mean to step on anyoneā€™s hero.

Actors aren't heroes.

With a few exceptions... Like Audie Murphy, Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin, Capt. Kangaroo, and a few others.

In the day, I went to the movies & watched First Blood or Lone Wolf McQuade, a they were showing at the same time as I recall, so can't remember which I saw first.

The critics gave both dismal reviews. I thought that if they hated both, I've got to see the other. Loved both of them & my IQ must be in the minus status now as I've watched many more times.

I'm doing some catchup time & watching Yellowstone reruns tonight getting ready for season 4. To me, this series is nearly as far fetched as Rambo & it's airing 30 years later. Just entertainment.

Both were great Movies. Lone Wolf McQuade with ole Chuck Norris is still one of my favorites from that Era.

What streaming service has Yellowstone ???
I only got to watch the first Season. I really liked it.

Season 4 airs Sunday, same channel, at 8pm. A 2 hour show.

I actually kind of liked the one he did prior to this last one. The one where he was a boat captain in SE Asia and had to help rescue the missionaries or aid workers or whatever. I also liked the first one. The rest were pretty cheesy.

His greatest achievement will be Rambo XXIIII Rambo verses Rocky
playing two roles in one movie.

Kris Kristofferson was also a helicopter pilot.
Posted By: gunzo Re: Rambo 5: Last Blood - 11/05/21
Kris Kristofferson landed a helicopter in Jonny Cash's front yard to push his non singing ass on the genre.

Gotta give him credit for that.

Glenn Ford never left the states during WWII but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Joined the Marines as a private but events kept him in the states.

Conflicting stories on Capt. Kangaroo.

Kristofferson was also a Rhodes Scholar, I believe.
He supposedly flew choppers offshore in the Gulf of Mexico hauling ass and trash for PHI.

I read somewhere once he nearly got court martialed for stealing one of the Armies helicopters and landing it on Johnny Cashā€™s lawn to get his attention and to give him some songs he wrote.

IMHO The movie started out much better than it ended.

Consider the premise; human trafficking, a heroic Mexican Journalist (a whole bunch have been tortured to death for speaking out) and an aging Rambo finally in over his head.

Ends with a wildly improbable finish, even by Rambo standards.
Posted By: joken2 Re: Rambo 5: Last Blood - 11/06/21

Watched it last week. Okay for a action flick I guess but a much overly used story line.

Seems like when a couple of such movies turn out to be money makers others usually jump on the bandwagon and make similar versions but with a few different twists.

In defense of today's actors, there hasn't been a real modern war lately for them to have served and later become a movie star. I guess its possible with Iraq and Afghanistan, but not like when everyone shipped off for WW2. Even Vietnam vets are in their 70's now.

Half of the ones listed are dead. Plus they listed Ann Coulter as a ā€œConservativeā€. Sheā€™s a rabid anti- Trump hating turd.
