When ordering online I always read the small print and make sure that they accept returns. If not then I don't do business with em!

Personally I prefer eBay over Amazon but to each their own.

Have purchased hundreds of not thousands of items on eBay and never had any issues thus far. On the other hand I have ran into multiple issues with Amazon which is why I prefer not to use them. But as I said, to each their own!
