The WWII generation will be completely gone in a couple years. I often think we are still living their legacy 80 years later.

We all gotta go one day. He left a good mark in history.
I liked how he used Hitler's cognac from the Eagle's Nest for his oldest son's Bar Mitzvah.
R.I.P.
RIP Col Shames. Job well done.

Watched the series again when I was down with the Chinese virus back in June. I recall that Dick Winters slipped away without much being reported. We forget too quickly.
RIP Colonel
The world will be an empty place when the last WW II veteran passes. We will not see the likes of them again.

My late father-in-law was a late war replacement in that unit. That man was as tough as nails, but never spoke of his wartime experiences.
God Bless the Great Warrior.
