Just got home from spending some time in NC with friends. Hunted a deer lease that’s overrun with bears. Got this guy. 335lbs. My buddy got a 198lber.
.50 Beowulf. Shot it when he stood up on his hind legs to smell the air. Total pass thru and he went 10yards. We did recover the bullet from the smaller bear. He shot it in the neck. It traversed the bidy and ended up in the back leg. 3’ of bear and perfect performance. It was a fun trip and taking home some meat for the freezer always makes things better.

We need a bear season here in my area of Louisiana, our property is becoming overrun with bears. Not seeing very many deer so far this year with the bears. One tried to climb up ladder with wife in stand, they also roaming all through the deer's bedding areas. Can't shoot them legally if you do and caught it's like a $10,000 fine.
