At least in my household. Youngest son (7) popped + for the flu, legit flu not China flu, today and wife appears to have the same. Batting .500 in our house, hoping the oldest son and I are too mean to catch it and it’s not too bad.

Did Omicron give up the power C-19 had to totally kill off the flu for two seasons? I’ll have to tune into Fauci now to see what science I need to trust and follow.
omicron is nothing but a cold
Come, now.................we all know it has to be some version of C-19, has to be.

LOL

Seriously, Good Luck.

Yep. Any other year prior to 2020 it would have merely been one of the many strains of the common cold going around, and no greater fuss than that would have been made of it.
Isn't the common cold a corona virus?

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/general-information.html

I found this info especially fascinating. From the CDC's website

Treatment for common human coronaviruses
There is no vaccine to protect you against human coronaviruses and there are no specific treatments for illnesses caused by human coronaviruses. Most people with common human coronavirus illness will recover on their own. However, to relieve your symptoms you can:

take pain and fever medications (Caution: do not give aspirin to children)
use a room humidifier or take a hot shower to help ease a sore throat and cough
drink plenty of liquids
stay home and rest
If you are concerned about your symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.

Rhinovirus more commonly causes the common cold
They are now admitting that the "COVID test" cannot tell between the Wuflu and genuine flu. So much if not most of the "COVID" cases they've reported for TWO YEARS have been regular flu.

Influenza is nothing to sneeze at (pun intended) but this false reporting kicks the hell out of the Dempanic numbers.

Um, we test for wu-flu, influenza A, influenza B, and RSV.

Plenty of influenza+, covid- results.

RSV is worse than either
It his us in West Texas hard. Our kids school had 350 kids out the week before Christmas with flu “a”. 4/5 in my house got it. It lasted no more than 48 hours for us.
Thought I would slide away from this one but been up since 2 AM last night. Chills, aches, coughing. Lasted about 48 hours for my wife and son so hoping I’m on the downhill side of it. Can’t ever recall having the flu but youngest was positive for A+. Hell of a way to spend some time with the family over the holidays.
My wife has had what folks here are describing, though it lasted for over a week and she went full covtard. I woke up with it yesterday and went full snowtard instead...no reason to let an effin cold keep me from enjoying the mountains.

They will keep throwing a constant mix of fact/non fact and contradictory messages now to train people out of the precision of language. Once people can no longer rely on words having historical meaning, all that will matter is what we are being told today.

Daughter's practice here in KY is seeing a lot of Flu A and RSV as well...
Fuggin’ flu, I’m guessing.

Felt tired Tuesday and Wednesday AM. Wednesday PM felt like I was beaten with a bat and was chugging NyQuil to keep my fever under 102.
Fever seems to have broke this afternoon but the lungs are hurtin’ and coughing up bloody phlegm.

Pretty sure I’d trade this for Covid any damn day.

Oh well, gonna make it through all of season 4 Cobra Kai here soon.

How do you know it's not Covid?

This is not true.

The current COVID test indicates for Covid-19. It does not indicate for flu. The stated goal is to move to a single test platform that will test for Covid and flu rather than continue to require separate test media.

So no need for ivermectin.

Well, the good news is that if you go get tested again it will magically morph in to covid-19...see, no more flu!

Lose taste or smell? Id get the Covid and flu test, MM.
I hope you dont have COVID-19.

My bud got it just over a week ago. Got tested and next day told positive. Every day he said it was like a cold and it was ok.
Tues AM he called early and blood O2 was 82. Could barely breath. Got a doc doing Regeneron and one in Dallas called him and Rxed bunch of meds and inhaled Budesonide q2h.
Called me after thevRegeneron monocolonal Tues pm. Said he was doing much better.

Said when at 82 he went to piss and the head was almost pure white.

Now Friday, hes home on O2 and meds and prayers.

MM, many start getting well and feeling better and the Cytokine storm hits and 2 days later they pass away.
Get tested and God Bless. If you got it get a great Dr who will get Regeneron and get you on inhaled budesonide before the schiett storm hits you.

You can call or text Alexandria Watkins, PA who uses Dr R Bartletts protocol for a telemedicine conference at 432- 268- 3773.

Any prayers for Danny, a tough, healthy 72 yo hard working South Texas self made farmer and rancher, from believers would be much appreciated.

If youre in the US, you've probably eaten produce from his farms or fruits and veggies he gad had trucked all over the US from his packing and shipping business in Weslaco. He contributes 600,000 pounds of food a year to needy organizations also.

Left college with nothing but a degree. Worked and saved for an old used combine and followed the maize harvest from S Texas to Canada every year with 18 - 20 hour days combining and repairing the combines at night.

I don’t agree with that at all. Our district tests a kid for any symptom of anything. 0 have come back COVID positive except for 3 kids who got it from a family member. And plenty of colds have been going around.
The wife caught what she thought was a regular cold. She called in sick the next day, she works in the front office of a senior care facility. Because of that she had to get tested for Covid and the flu before she could return to work.
Results came back negative for both, so I'll be damned, it is just a cold.

Which test is that?

The CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel.
24 hours of 102* temps seemed to have knocked it out. Much better this morning but I sure felt like hell there for about a day. Two sips of water and I’d have to get up to pee like clockwork. First time with the flu for me and it wasn’t fun. Surprisingly the PA said she had been seeing an uptick in flu cases. I had just gotten my weekly Covid test on Monday which came back negative on Wednesday

That's what I thought. The PCR test is still just a research tool not to be used for disease diagnosis according to the FDA. Same with the antibody tests being used, they only have emergency FDA approval. It reminds me of when I was young and was trying to figure out how to do something. The old timers couldn't stand for us not to be moving and would always say: "DO SOMETHING EVEN IF IT'S WRONG!" That's what the CDC has been doing with COVID-19 from the very beginning.
