Put the standard test to them and see how they come out.
Do they provide or prominently display a phone number. If they do, give them a call before your first order.
When you Google street view their location, is what you see consistent with the kind of business they present themselves to be? If not, or no physical address, red flags.
Then I search the business name followed by "review" and "complaint.". Significant negative history or no history is a red flag.
Then I look at how they want to be paid. Crypto and PP friends is a red flag.
Then I look to see if they seem to have a bunch of hard to find items. Red flag if they do.
Lastly, prices that are too good to be true is a red flag.
Language and grammar errors and irregularities on their site?
