I’m sorry about the delay. I’ve got the date, May 14, but I don’t know the date of my hip replacement! I should know tomorrow. Hopefully it will be soon. Been reading these threads for a few years and wanting to attend but health issues have kept me from being able to participate in any outdoor fun! I'm planning on trying this year but don't count on it! I never know from day to day what I can do. It sucks!! I may try and find a cheap room over that way and maybe hang around after and try some steelhead fishing but I imagine I'll be pretty wiped out after all the time on the range! AND if Toby(12344mag) is there I'll be sure and bring a butt plug(I can't run very fast)!!!!

Back to what guns to bring. Does anyone else want to shoot Skeet, or is this a Rifle & Pistol crowd?

If you want to shoot shotguns we will have to bring Pigeons . It will be skeet but ( I’m having a brain fart) and I will have to get the batteries out of the barn, ( somebody keeps stealing them) ah the brain fart went away. Sporting clays is what we have. I don’t know how to run that. But if one of you do I’ll be more than happy to get that out.

Also we might have to share the club with a bow hunting tournament! Should be on the north 40 I believe. We have 120 acres. If we do we’ll have to work out lunch time. But that will be no problem. I believe I’m done!

Paul and I tried about 5 years ago. He shot good me not so much. I’m not bringing my shotgun. I’m probably not going to shoot anything, we’ll see!

I use the 338 RUM for crop damage deer hunting. Over 5k+ ft lbs of muzzle energy is a sight to behold when you shoot critters, even on the far end of a bean field.

Just remember it's a medical practice, with emphasis on the "practice"... 🤭

You'll be fine. I'm thinking you should do well with the physical therapy afterwards. A millwright I knew had a hip replacement, the difference was like night and day. He was able to do his job at the foundry a hell of a lot better post surgery.

I can pull a game cart, but usually have my wife do all of the hard work. I wasn't aware there was going to be any 270 guys at the get together, assumed they were automatically disqualified.

What the hell. I’m suffering a brain fart. We will meat a the New Beginnings restaurant at Coopersville Mi. Eat breakfast then proceed to the club , which is about 20 miles north of the restaurant. Then we shoot if you so desire or shoot the [bleep]. We eat lunch around noon. Shoot some more. Normally we head out around 3 or 4. I am going to be somewhat Incapacitated , but I should be all right to sit around. If I can make it I’ll let you all know 2 weeks in advance. We then will have to reschedule it.

It's been 11 years since I attended one of these get to gathers, so I guess I'll try and make this one. No trap shooting scheduled for that day.
The one I attended back in 2011 was held in Jan. and it was damn cold. Glad to see a Springtime date.
Sounds like every one is brings some type of gun that takes game animals, I bring guns that were designed to kill your enemy. WWII M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, and a bring back Lugar. But I also have a neat Second Generation Colt SAA in 44 Special.
Have ammo for each one, but limited on the M1 Carbine, so if you want to smoke a 30 round magazine you can bring your own.

Cut new trim to the dimensions of the trim you cut to short then glue them together that way they won't be too short.

I hope his surgery went well.
And no, I’m not going to dig on him till I find out he’s alright.

The surgery didn’t get over until 4:00 o’clock. Trouble with the next guy before me. Then with the recovery, The nurse is rundown and physical therapy we didn’t get out of there until 9:00 . The surgeon said I he had numerous bone spurs on the ball of my And femur and that with the bone on bone was the culprit. So not Toby and Mark will have to put up with me with out the game cart!!

In answer to you Toby, it’s going fine, yesterday was tough, but today is not so bad. The nurse keep checking on my condition by phone. She called this morning. Now she’ll call in a month. I go see the surgeon next Tuesday. I was bummed yesterday. Now a complete turn around !
