They ask for id on bullet purchases to make sure your not from those two states. WTH. Is that the new normal?
You new to this?

I’ve been getting carded for ammo for 10+ years at walmart and other retailers. Not due to Calif or Ill, but it’s a local thing like you said.

No since in losing your mind.

Bullet or ammo?

In California you are limited to two boxes of ammo per cartridge or gauge. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
In Ca ammo has to ship to an FFL so lots of online retailers won’t bother.

Does not apply to “bullets”

There are no limits imposed don’t know where that comes from
Don't think I've run across that yet, just a background check and a $1 fee last time (which was a year and a half/ couple years ago now)

Maybe it's changed, it always does.

Sad state of affairs if you ask me.

Don't need to show ID and have a BG check to buy a pen and paper to exercise your First Amendment right, why do I need that to exercise my other right??
You are carded for age and nothing else guys. Half the time the people in my town don’t even card they ask for birthdate!
No to the Illinois folks here (IN ).
I was told I look like an Indiana guy....must be the lack of dreads and pants pulled up.

Nope, I just got 6 boxes of 16 GA, I had to do a background check though.

Only at places that want to ration. I kind of agree because there are those dipschitts that will just try to turn around and flip whatever they get their hands on.
