-31 in Granby just now. Almost like the old days.

Had to wear closed toe shoes this morning, -15 in Minneapolis suburbs.

Some might think I'm insane, but I miss NY winters.

Supposed to hit 83 here, today.

You need a better thermometer. My outside mechanical goes to -60F, don't know how low the digital goes.

It is a balmy 17 in Elko, Nv. Should be a good day for Shed hunting.

This is the first warm spell we have had in a while.

Somewhere in my archives I have a pic of my outdoor thermometer showing half a needle width on the colder side of -50C which is -58F. Cold by any man's definition.

I used to spend all day outside at -20 or 30 below zero and it never bothered me. I would spend all day out fishing or trapping beaver under the ice. Now I am cold at 70 degrees and my feet haven't been warm since August. I have started to look for a little place in western Kentucky maybe to hole up for a couple months next winter. I just can't handle the cold anymore.
