We did, at the Wisconsen Dells.
I rode on at Stone Mountain, Georgia. The driver was a great big black fella. He played “Who Let the Dogs Out” loud as it would go on the radio, and went down that launching ramp wide open. The kids loved it.
In the dells. Let the kid's drive it. I was the only big kid to drive.
Where you at #SACharlie?
Ooops. You said "duck"...
Yep, we rode one when we were in Mazatlán in '86. It ferried people for day trips from the crowded hotel beaches to a less crowded island about a mile out.

No, in Suckass Charlie's case the difference would be "ride."
Not a duck, but a classmate in high school had one of those mid 60's Amphicars.
Yep, they have them in Hot Springs, AR on Lake Hamilton. One sank years ago, killing some of the riders. Think the same thing happened in WI.
that's how U get 44K posts ?
Yes Muscatine boat club has one, or did
Yes. At Coronado. They kicked us off and we had to swim back.

Technically, (but who GAF, that is a LARC V). I worked for a company that delivered marine freight around the Aleutians and the cost of Alaska, and used a couple of them for amphib delivery operations. They eventually gave up, they were extremely dangerous in any kind of rough water or surf, carried a payload of a pissant proportions, and I was challenged keeping the twin V8 Cummins reliable. Endless electrical problems in the salt environment. I don't think the military used them for very long either. Every time the boss made me ride along on a landing, I wore a regular life vest and a Mae West...shows how much confidence I had in the aluminum coffin.

Those were cool
What Flintlocke said! A LARC!
17 died on one in Branson in 2017. Freak storm popped up and it took on big waves.
I’d ridden there in 2016.
Also at the Wisconsin Dells, many years ago.
Somewhere, there is a picture of me on a Blackduck, in Blackduck, Minnesota.
It's fenced in now.
Not on purpose.
They’ve killed a few folks around Seattle.
Still don’t like them.
We did, at the Wisconsen Dells.
Us too!!!!
I rode one in Branson, MO before the accident. After the accidents they were moved to the WI. Dells. They may have already had some in WI Dells but added to them.
Rode.one in Nashville several years ago. Lived to tell about it.
What would it cost to buy one?

Yeap , bad decisions by the responsible crew is how I see it personally. Was actually working on the edge of the lake when this happened in Branson or I should say Branson West, Silver Dollar City, Indian point
At the Dells, always a fun time.
Been on the ones in Seattle several times.
San Felipe Mexico in 1977. Getting on a crappy old shrimp trawler that was converted into a fishing boat. 18 guys and all their gear. I think we had at least 3" of freeboard.
No, but I have taken a walk in a duck's boots...
And wrapped myself in a duck's cloth...
My family and I took a tour of Baltimore in '06 on one, everyone enjoyed it, the guide was very entertaining. My boys think we could really it to hunt the islands in the Susquehanna, lol!
Yes At the Dells also,, We operated a store there, The Boat Co had control of almost everything. We rented our space from them and they gave us free passes
to all of their attractions. That was before Lake Delton washed out.
Been on them several times at Wisconsin Dells, AKA Wisconsin's tourist trap.

Took a duck tour of Boston, one if by land, two if by sea.
I grew up 40 mins. south of "The Dells". Only been on a duck once, when we took the grandkids for a ride. Meh.
Only had one duck ride way back in the summer of 1972. There was a guy running tours around a local bay. Think they were only on weekends and IIRC he only did it that one year. It was interesting and now I can at least say I rode in one of those things. Even cruising around that calm bay way back then I could tell that those things weren't the most sea worthy craft around. Weren't they just made for fording smaller bodies of water and things like amphibious landings? No way would I take one out into a big open water environment like Lake Ontario. Those things wouldn't last long in rough, open water.
I thought it was about Ducatis.
I took a friend's Ben Bostrum 998 around for a session at Texas World Speedway. Quite the machine at the track. Transmission like Butter and the Brakes were so nice!
Wabigoon: Yep several times at the annual Seattle Seafair festivities/parades.
Hold into the wind
