Introduced in Senate (03/10/2021)

NICS Denial Notification Act of 2021

This bill requires the Department of Justice to notify state and local law enforcement authorities following a firearms-related background check that results in a denial.

I don't know what else is in it, but if it's just this, it deals with a problem that many here on 24hr have complained about for years. It's an enforcement issue.
This country is long over due for a cleansing.
If you are a GOA member you should have received an email about this. Email has a link in it to send message to your senators. Use it, I did.

The problem with the bill is that there is no distinction as to where a denial resulted if an error was created by the NICS system. If the NICS system screws up, a potentially innocent 4473 applicant will bear the responsibility and cost of fixing the NICS error.

Guilty until proven innocent.

I understand that the NICS system is broken and those faults should be corrected, not prosecute the innocent 4473 applicant.
I did get the GOA email, but this guy explains it very well and he's always on YT with updates on anything/everything 2A connected... FWIW.
