I've never seen the Highwaymen movie, so I watched
the gunshop clip and the shootout clip

They mistakenly have Costner/ Hamer with the
Remington taking the 1st shot to the head when
that should have been Prentiss Oakley with the
Remington making the 1st shot of the shootout

The first Terminator movie had the best gun shop scene.

I say that only because I bought a whole lot of guns in that store.





I remember going in one night at the time they were filming. The store was different, things moved around. Lots of stuff on display (t-shirts and the like) that weren't normally there. Next trip it was all gone and the store was back to normal. A couple years later the movie hit cable TV and it all made sense.

Yessir. Cattleman's is 10 miles or so north of Fabens, up in the sandhills north of Interstate 10.

I haven't eaten there in over 30 years, but it's still there. I run up that way now and then to shoot jackrabbits when I happen to find myself in El Paso.

The absolute worst is from the recent “The Marksman”.

Liam Neilsen playing a decorated Vietnam veteran from Arizona on the run from a cartel walks into a Texas gun shop and in a three minute conversation talking about how rough it was in ‘bam gets the owner to sell him guns over the counter, no paperwork, like that happens every day.

Considering he's another hollywood socialist it fits his interest to advance that lie. I haven't watched it and won't.

I couldn't find that clip, thanks for posting. When he opened the hidden wall it was a beautiful thing.

Seriously - almost every gun shop scene in every Hollyweird movie stinks like the rat infested cesspool that made it. All of the above included.

The Highwaymen is #1. I would rate Tom Selleck's scene in,The Crossfire Trail, when he's in the general store stocking up and sees and buys the new 1875 Centennial Winchester a good #2.
