The Highwaymen.
Nothing even comes close to Kevin Costner's shopping trip to the gunstore in "The Highwaymen"!
PERIOD!

Some old western long ago:

A man walks into a store. "Give me a box of pistol bullets."

Clerk sets a box on the counter. "Anything else?

"No, that's all."

Payback when mel gibson says something like
lemme see that magnum.

Or john Wayne as McQ just packing up the MAC10
without saying may I and strolling out with it
like it was a dozen donuts

1st thought was Terminator- always wanted a SPAS12 after that. Next thought was First Blood

Highway men is a great movie
Love the gun store scene

The scene from the Highwaymen was great.

The Quick and the Dead

I've never seen the Highwaymen movie, so I watched
the gunshop clip and the shootout clip

They mistakenly have Costner/ Hamer with the
Remington taking the 1st shot to the head when
that should have been Prentiss Oakley with the
Remington making the 1st shot of the shootout

Once again, a "best" thread.

Well, being as how there are so many good ones, and some of the best already posted, I'm surprised no one came up with this one

"Look, I'm gonna slide up in here and I'm gonna put my thing down. But, when I come back out I'm gonna want some real answers"

"OK, go put your thing down"

"And I'm gonna be back to talk about them Rolexes"

Not technically a "gun shop", but still a good supply room scene. I think the inspiration for the "Noisy Cricket" is that Scandium .357 Sammo just got

I walked those very streets in my youth. That is Fabens, Texas. I'm surprised to see how clean it looked then.

Fabens- isn’t that where Cattleman’s is located?
Terminator 1 scene at the Alamo gun shop is tops to me, who doesn’t want a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range?

And who could forget John Wick meeting the Sommelier in John Wick 2.

Yes. It is and it used to be absolutely incredible. Haven’t been there in many years. What a steak joint.

Shooter, in the shop run by the guy who was the drummer for the Band in real life.

Commando, where Arnold breaks in and loads up for battle.

Cool trivia, Thanks for posting !
The first Terminator movie had the best gun shop scene.

The Survivors with Robin Williams and Walter Matthau.
I say that only because I bought a whole lot of guns in that store.

I remember going in one night at the time they were filming. The store was different, things moved around. Lots of stuff on display (t-shirts and the like) that weren't normally there. Next trip it was all gone and the store was back to normal. A couple years later the movie hit cable TV and it all made sense.

Yessir. Cattleman's is 10 miles or so north of Fabens, up in the sandhills north of Interstate 10.

I haven't eaten there in over 30 years, but it's still there. I run up that way now and then to shoot jackrabbits when I happen to find myself in El Paso.

i used to like the gun shop scene from Terminator, until I found out Schwarzenegger was a piece of schitt.

The Highwaymen movie slipped under my radar. This thread prompted me to watch it this afternoon. I enjoyed it.

Can't forget Arnie:

El Dorado at the Swede’s gun shop.

The absolute worst is from the recent “The Marksman”.

Liam Neilsen playing a decorated Vietnam veteran from Arizona on the run from a cartel walks into a Texas gun shop and in a three minute conversation talking about how rough it was in ‘bam gets the owner to sell him guns over the counter, no paperwork, like that happens every day.

Considering he's another hollywood socialist it fits his interest to advance that lie. I haven't watched it and won't.

Seriously - almost every gun shop scene in every Hollyweird movie stinks like the rat infested cesspool that made it. All of the above included.

The Highwaymen is #1. I would rate Tom Selleck's scene in,The Crossfire Trail, when he's in the general store stocking up and sees and buys the new 1875 Centennial Winchester a good #2.

Probably not as good as the Highwaymen, but the scene in the original "Jackel" when the assasin orders and then picks up his "rifle" is pretty damn good.
