So I have this barely used old style Dewalt battery 1/2" drive impact gun. Someone walked off with the case charger and batteries years ago..
I keep looking for the stuff at pawn shops but they are few and far between...had a lead in a few
compatible tools & batteries a while back but couldn't make a meeting time work...
I tried looking on scamazon but no luck there..
Any ideas?
I know they had used tool places on the west coast... And I guess yard sale season is coming up...

They make a conversion adapter for 18 to 20 v tools.
Alot lighter than those anchor 18v

rong is right here, get the converter that allows the 18volt tool to run on 20 volt batteries. Been using them for several years with zero complaints.

Agree 100%, but learned 2 things there:

1) If you bitch at the seller he will send new batteries

2) SOME (not all) batteries (that will not charge) can be jump started to take a charge. What that means is that if the charge they are holding is below parameters of the charger... they can be boosted (like jumper cables on a truck) from a good battery to hit the recharging threshold... then recharged as normal.

EBay bay knockoff batteries SUCK... maybe 50% of the Amp Hour rating they claim, but they can be made slightly useful if they are 4Ah to begin with.

Rebuilding batteries is not that hard (as I understand it)... if a guy/gal was looking for a side job.

Guys that used to sell me truck batteries (Interstate warehouse) did tool batteries on the bench on the side. They used really good cells. The rebuilds were as good or better than factory. Maybe $60-$70 on an 18 volt.

Sold the 18 volt, bought the 29 volt set, need a 20 volt little skilsaw
