The .45 ball (singular) I fired so far went through 4 heavy duty boxes and knocked a divot out of the plywood backstop. Oops. 1" right/low @ 20 feet so good enough. It'll put the clay practice ammo in the same hole from 20 feet but they're all over the paper at 20 yards so not stabilized real well. Oddly enough, the skwrls boogie it out of the yard when I'm anywhere around now. Haven't fired the first shot at one.

We're in town right on top of our neighbors, firing firearms and air guns is illegal and the skwrls been slaughtering Mrs. Geno's raised bed and container garden. The sapsuckers ate 40 jalapenos - I couldn't believe it but I saw the little dude doing it. Have rat traps in the veggies but none caught yet.

Get a Red Ryder. 😊
Posted By: navlav8r Re: Heh heh heh. - 05/13/22
If you have access to lead shot, you can load several in the pouch at a time. Gives a little more margin for error. Plain old BBs will work as well

1" steel ball over 2000 fps. Crazy German dude has all kinds of slingshot videos.
Posted By: oldtrapper Re: Heh heh heh. - 05/14/22
Thanks Geno, that was fun to see.
Posted By: blammer Re: Heh heh heh. - 05/16/22
use 36 cal balls, higher velocity, better distance.
Posted By: High_Noon Re: Heh heh heh. - 05/16/22
You need a wrist rocket.

Several years ago I bought my young daughter a sling shot. She proceeded to immediately shoot a steel shot into my computer monitor.

Lesson learned - No shooting in the house!

Key piece of missing physics not discussed- kinetic energy.

Freeze your paintballs. They will fly better.

CB caps and a nearly used up toilet paper roll.

You figure out the details. whistle

Her new super heavy bands. What a beast. She sends .45 round balls through a soda can so fast it doesn't fall over. They don't shoot the light ammo worth a crap.

What brand of device is that Geno?
Posted By: 673 Re: Heh heh heh. - 05/20/22
That slingshot gives me an idea.
Posted By: OldmanoftheSea Re: Heh heh heh. - 05/20/22
Incidentally a sling shot is a great way to transition do to cross-dominance...

Have you tried extracting the agitator balks from rattle cans? You get a free glass/plastic sling ball and can make use of the residual paint in the can..

Chinese copy of a dankung ergonomic dancing/pocket predator ranger loop with a few improvements from amazon. The tubes I made from 1/8 I.D. x 1/16 W. - 1/4 O.D. to Tex-shooter's heavy hybrid specs. The tubes and flat bands that came with it were really way better than I imagined they would be.

LOLOLOL - My bad. Odd coincidence on the name thing. I'm a Eugene with no middle name so some variation of that is what I'm stuck with.

He's sensitive about it since he approved himself for a Beaver Award.

I'm scared to ask. Is it a bleached beaver he got an award for? Oh wait - that was leather doughnut, never mind.

He got an award for being a one eyed man amongst a vast sea of blind men.

At least that's what he says.

Father was Eugene. Everyone called him Gene

I'm just Gene.

To avoid confusion when I got older and started doing stuff, and because kids/teenagers being teenagers, I ended up as Geno.

Now I'm curious - what awards does beaver hand out?

Rat traps 2. Slingshot 2 for 2. Still have at least ten skwrls in the back yard. They act like a deer on AL public land now.

#1 Buck is great

Good looking pea flipper.

#1 is great for birds. A little on the light side for tree rats. They're tough sobs with very tough skin. They fall like hit by lightning with a .45 lead ball. No penetration due to skin toughness.
