Better get her done. Have a busy fall scheduled so put in for impossible to draw but high-quality hunts. If one comes through it should be a dandy.
Got them all done including the granddaughter
I'm in. Had to do another point saver for Antelope. My buddy's getting shoulder surgery (again) and is worried he wont be mended by then.
WE HAVE OURS IN EXCEPT FOR THE YOUNGEST BOY. NATURALLY HE WORKS AT A SPORTING GOODS STORE (He finally got it done today).

It doesn't look like we will draw anything special, maybe cow elk tags ( I haven't put in for a cow tag since 1990 or thereabouts).

I am excited to get to draw for sheep again even if it is for a ewe.
Got it done a couple of weeks ago. About the same chance as winning the lottery.
Put in for my elk LOP tag.
Control tags are done for deer, antelope and elk. I’m holding 7 smooth head points for elk. Surprised, I found my new property is located in a small draw unit.

It would be cool to snag a tag for a cow elk and kill one in my pasture. With my points, it could be an almost certainty I draw a tag.

I’ve had several herds show up this past winter/fall in my yard. I guess this tag wouldn’t even qualify as a grocery store elk, maybe more like a kitchen elk.

That’s about my situation, except I might get the Willamette 600-series tag again this year. That one is a doozy. Any weapon, starts a month early, goes through FEBRUARY 2023 (!), and is an any-deer tag. And my land falls within the unit. smile So that one is meat in the pot every 3rd or 4th year.

Getting close to enough points for our favorite mule deer hunt, or thought I was, but it appears there’s been significant point-creep there. Put in anyway. And Mt. Emily for elk.

(I have enough for the elk tag I’ve been saving for- Hell’s Canyon- but the person I was gonna do it with has been battling a major health issue and might not be physically fit enough by then, so Mt. Emily it is, which is basically a point saver. )

Dancing Bear, good to see ya! You must be feeling better?
Jeff,

Yes, I am doing much better.

Two hip replacements and infection repair on both lower legs are past. I am about 6 months into rehab.

I was well enough to kill one doe last year and haul it out on my cart by myself (with a couple of breaks) in December. Things are looking up.

Good luck on your draws.
