Installed a water feature and landscaping a while back and went back today to service the pump. The plantings are filling in nicely and it's quite a sanctuary from busy life. She had a pine cone stuck in the pump otherwise it's ticking right along.

My friend is a masonry /concrete contractor and took the lead on that. We incorporated some low voltage lighting into it and tied into the gas line to the house.

People like to badmouth Oregon, but we don't have snake problems. Or tornadoes, hurricanes, chiggers, volcanic eruptions, LOL.

How could you forget the fallout from Mt St Helens? Or Mt Hood practically inside Portland? Or Newberry near Bend. Not to mention that Oregon is surrounded by Adams, Shasta, and Rainier.

We can only pray the wind is blowing strongly out of the East when any one of them blow the next time.
Looks good, Roy!

Very nice. Are you a landscaper by trade?
No snakes in OR?

I ran over a big one, likely a gopher snake, over by Lakeview today.

I bet there's some snakes on the West side too.

OH, the job does look really nice.
Very nice, two thumbs up πŸ‘ πŸ‘

What's left of one. LOL
Looks great!! Would love to have something like that in our backyard......
How come the water looks so brown and grungy?
This is the one where we dug up a bunch of artifacts like old whiskey and medicine bottles. The historical society came in and scavenged around the 120 year old outhouse sites and found some bottles and junk. I guess people threw their trash down the shytter. It's a historic mining town so we got some old mining artifacts from antique stores and placed them along the stream.

The entire thing was built while the owner was in Mexico. Couple more photos. The water is dirty because I was dicking around with it. Normally it's clear.

No snake problems anywhere I've lived in Oregon, but yes we have some snakes in some places. Generally not too much of an issue in Oregon until you get to the extreme east side of the state.
