Some people don't have a brain the size of a mustard seed. Yellowstone is not a petting zoo

Who the fugg would want to drive all that way to deal with thousands of people and see a stupid disease ridden buffalo?
Wonder why none of the folks she was with could tell the park folks her name?
Start watching at the one minute mark.

On a trip to Yellowstone (back in the 80's) I came across a middle aged couple tryi g to get close to a calf moose so they could get close up photos.they got within about 50 feet and momma moose started getting a bit tense, stomping the ground and snorting.
The couple thought that was cute and continued moving in closer. Momma moose made a short bluff (warning) charge and returned to her calf.
Again, the stupid couple commented on how cute that was.
I was some distance away and started hollering at them that they were about to get stomped and to get the hell back away from the moose.
The woman looked at me like I was crazy and said "you don't know what you're talking about. The government would never put dangerous animals in a park and that the moose knew they were friendly".
A couple of other people started hollering at them as well.
At which point they responded to us with "go [bleep] yourselves" and threatened to have us arrested for interfering with their enjoyment of the park but they did back off and leave, cussing us all the way.
Simply amazing how stupid some people are. They were almost certainly democrats.

An Ohio woman who was gored Monday by a bison at Yellowstone National Park has not died, despite media reports indicating she had.

The Idaho Falls hospital where the woman was taken for treatment did not have a patient death tied to a bison goring, a hospital spokeswoman told the Star-Tribune on Wednesday. That contradicts an NBC News report that was picked up by several Wyoming media outlets.

"To confirm, though, our hospital has has no recent patient death as a result of the injuries being described by the NBC report," the spokeswoman wrote in a text message to the Star-Tribune.

Yellowstone National Park reported the woman's goring on Tuesday afternoon. That announcement from the park said only that she was injured. There was no mention of her death.

However, on Tuesday evening NBC News reported the woman had died. On Wednesday, NBC News corrected its story, saying its past reporting misstated the severity of the woman's injuries. By then, the story had been picked up by major and local media outlets.

I still can recall, while on a Yellowstone trip as a kid, a mama bear chasing a shirtless skinny dude and swiping at his a$$ after he thought it was a brilliant idea to try to pet her two cubs. She almost caught him.

I am rooting for the animals in the colosseum.
