“Splitting” from Republicans?

Is he really?
Graham and others are fully onboard with Biden’s proposals

The link didn't work. Maybe back it up to the html and see.
There is a huge amount of public pressure to stop the production of AR's. Charles Grassley got caught up at a town hall meeting in Iowa last week. The pressure is coming mostly from the older generation who "can't see a need for weapons of war" to just be sold in any store. Those folks make the biggest donations to political parties.

A pay wall appears in front of the article, so it's unreadable without providing personal information to the website first. Can you cut and paste the article here in this thread? Or, at least, summarize what it says.

Yep , the people that go
Aww my , what in earth is wrong with people
Nothing but ammo wasters , not accurate
The election wasn’t stolen , the govt has laws against that stuff
And go on and on trying to explain to telemarketers they can’t understand what they’re saying .
When you tell them how to respond , they smile and say , oh ! You don’t do that

Yes it's the "donor class" who are behind the GOP leaderships sudden desire to "do something" on guns. It is what happens when one forgets history or chooses to ignore it. Older folks are much more likely to still get news from MSM. In a casualty way it is much better to have "assault"guns flooded out in the market, rather than the alternative that was traditionally used: explosives. People tend to forget how "common" bomb attacks used to be in the USA, historically. Just look at what is happening in Sweden over the last decade and a half. Now imagine "American" criminal groups resorting to bombings instead of guns. It would be much worse with more deaths. Not to mention that making rather exotic explosive devices is much much easier than in the distant past. Lots of learned experience over the last 20 years of our adventures in the ME and Central Asia.
