Interesting.... I'm glad it's not an important item. Ordered some broadheads a couple of weeks ago. Tracking showed they arrived in Beaumont last week (40 miles), Orange two days ago (5 miles) and Houston today (100 miles). I can't imagine why they're always broke.

I sent a knife to a member yesterday via UPS. It was delivered early this afternoon. USPS can't touch that.

Three Ebay purchases have been delivered by USPS in the past 3 weeks with damaged packaging- - - -taped up and bearing a big orange USPS sticker that says "We're sorry that your package was damaged in shipping". One box only contained the packing material- - - -the 10 pound round steel billet I ordered for a machining project was gone. Not the seller's fault- - -he always does a good job of packing heavy stuff. The shipper refunded my purchace price and shipping, because I do a lot of business with him, but I doubt that he will ever be able to make them pay for the loss of his merchandise.

Dealing with something I just bought from someone here on the 'Fire. PA to AK. Starts in PA and goes to WA (typical for things headed to AK). Then routed to FL and back to WA (all the way across the Lesser-48) Should be on the homestretch now.

They are usually pretty good and about 1/10 of what it would cost to ship UPS, which is an air-rate.

I sent Leighton a priority package of hot sauce, sour kraut, and apple pie moonshine. He got it almost two months later and it was crushed. I'd post the pic but the address is visible on it. Maybe he will comment on all the stuff I've sent him that arrived f-cked up.

FedEx isn't much better. I ordered an AR barrel from a machinist that is retiring. It made it to Dallas (53 miles away) on Monday, Fort Worth (34 miles away) on Tuesday and now it's in Schertz (279 miles away)

Good thing it was an extra to replace the one I have if I ever do wear the barrel out.

I’ve said this before but have had troubles going east..like a $2k MO order taking a month to go to Mass, dropping out of tracking for 3 weeks. That was the worst. Another was a package going to Sioux Falls, SD 60 miles from me, staying there for two weeks before moving on.
