Afternoon chuckle. - 07/01/22
An 80 year-old man drove his brand new Corvette off the lot and headed to the interstate so he could wind it up. He was speeding down the freeway enjoying himself, doing about 100 when he saw flashing lights in the mirror.
He pulled over and was approached by a state trooper, who said "sir, it's Friday afternoon and I have 30 minutes left on my shift. If you can give me a reason you were speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you off with a warning."
The old guy thought about it for a minute and said: "Years ago my wife ran off with a state trooper, and I thought you were bringing her back."
To which the officer replied: "Have a nice day, sir."
