We were in New Orleans this week , stayed in the French Quarter, we walked down to Jackson Square one afternoon and noticed a sign in a store window that read "Buy from a black women" …I see that as being racists

It is. But, the "French Quarter" of New Orleans is nothing but a tourist trap.

There is fantastic history to be seen around New Orleans. None of it is around Bourbon Street.
That sign has sucked in many a liberal to spend their money! Then they say look at me, I'm not racist! Then they vote for Biden that has put more black men in prison than any politician in history.
It's New Orleans. It doesn't mean a thing.

Chocolate city, baby.
So what all did you buy?
She left out the word “crack”.

Who could possibly forget Ray Ray Nagin?

Sad to say that NOLA, The Big Easy, Fat City has deteriorated much further since his bout of paying penance in the pokey.

You went there voluntarily?

I buy her dinner and flowers and enjoy my time with her, but she lives here.

In most cases it was well earned. There are many more on the streets who should be in prison but the courts just turn them loose.

My Mother went to Tulane med school when I was a small kid. She said that NOLA was a great place to do ER rotations because of all the violent crime there. I guess that aspect of it hasn't changed for the better. I think that we packed and left the day after she graduated.

Her favorite Tulane story was "revirigining" women with a couple of shallow stitches so they would bleed and hurt a little the first time that they had sex with their husband. Stitches and a lemon juice douche to tighten things up down there. Always good for a laugh when she drank a little too much Johnnie Black and told about a woman who was six months pregnant and insisted on being revirgined.

Can remember Ray Ray Nagin re-election billboards along I-10 near Beaumont, TX. Lot of Louisiana traffic on that stretch of road. His "Chocolate City" speech was hilarious.
