Feels like an oven when I go outside.
I hear ya, doesn’t take long to get wet……

Yeah, we're on our third triple digit day, cooling off tomorrow only 99*, next week sounds better, low 90's.
92 in Corpus right now and hasn’t broke a hundred all year. Lol
I'd rather be dead - The temperature in the average coffin is 6 below.
A high of only 73* here today but overall it’s been a hotter than average summer with several days in the 90’s.
I got the AC on 79 and that feels nice and cool after being outside a few hours.
I came back inside the house yesterday after tying up tomato plants and training cuke vines for a while. My son had bumped it down to 72 in the main part.
I asked him if he needed me to take to an Endocrinologist. Gawd, my nose started running from it being so chilly in the house. I need to get one of them ‘dummy’ T-stats
That’s one thing I do not miss from my Jobby-Job…
We had a fat bitch (Janelle) 👩🏼🦰 🐳 that would always run the thermostat down to 68.
I wanted to smash her little fat, sausage fingers with a hammer

102 here. We’ve already had 30 +100 degree days. July and August are gonna be brutal SOB.
Was mid 90's humid as hell, thunderstorm rolled through dropped to 77
Ol mike: It is a pleasant 76 degrees here in SW Montana at 3:20 P.M.
Hope you don't suffer much longer - I hate heat and humidity, to tell the truth.
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
I just spent two weeks on Padre. Only a couple of nights were a little uncomfortable when the wind changed and I couldn't catch a breeze off the ocean.
It was a hot bioch yesterday driving up 281 in the afternoon. I can forget about running the A/C and pulling the trailer in this weather.
I drove to Houston on Monday, then yesterday helped my son load his belongings in the truck and trailer for the return trip to Georgia. I don't know how hot it was but I sweated enough that my shoes were wet. Just brutal.
We have an east wind off Lake Michigan. The high is about 76 and breezy.
Only 93 here with a real feel of 102. A little humid...........
So cold in the house, I'm having soup for dinner.
Feels like an oven when I go outside.
Wha'cha gonna do when it gits hot? 🤯
Summer day in Podunk here
82*....partly cloudy....sticky 24% humidity ...flash flood warnings
AZ monsoon storms sneaking in from the south
We had a front come thru this afternoon, it's down to 84 and the humidity has dropped considerably. Pretty nice outside, really.
Feels like an oven when I go outside.
We had highs (in the shade) of 103 a week ago. I thought my car AC was on the fritz, but it was just that even a good car AC can't keep up with 103 in the shade. Just barely kept it bearable inside the car as I drove. The house did a good bit better, keeping things under 80 even at the hottest part of the day. Glad I had them recharge my home system's refrigerant at the start of the summer. Made a huge difference.
And I thought I was old...

I remember you were having some home cooling issues last year.
I remember my brother saying when it's really hot or cold, a car/truck just gets warmed-up or cooled down when you get to where you're going. Then on the return trip - repeat. Seen it a hunnerd times.

Try my best not to cry.
I was just in West Va with 80 something degrees, with 90 % humidity...
and then in Utah and Colorado at 99 degrees, with low humidity....
it felt much more uncomfortable in West Va and Virginia than it did in Utah and Colorado....
I was thru Tennessee yesterday and they were predicting triple digits a 115 degree heat index.
Heat index prediction seemed high.
It topped out at 105 here yesterday before it got dark and started to cool off. Still 88 here now.
The 10 day forecast is 103 or higher for every day. 😬

That heat index or real feel BS is something else. Hot is hot.
Dipschii.t kids at work always using those terms instead of just saying the actual fuuggin temp even though anything over 75 or under 65 is terrible to them.
When it gets to 90 or more it's just hot, no other way to slice it.
Then you have those that say the humidity makes it so much worse, of course that's where the index comes from.
If it's 100° it's fuuggin hot, I don't give a schiitt if it's 70% or 40% I don't want a damn thing to do with either.
Want hot, jump on an asphalt crew on a 95° day. That'll get the tater sack drippin!!
My outdoor thermometer hit 105 the last 2 days. miles
It ain't the heat,it's the humidity right?
The humidity is what gets me, I can take the heat but add in high humidity and I'm down right miserable. 103 is hot though makes it a do nothing day.
We’ve had 5 inches of rain here since Saturday. The jungle is steamy….
Calling for heat index of 108* here in the dirty south….
Woo-weeeee.

No wonder the Comanches were always in a bad mood.
I worked outside pretty much all day yesterday and it was 105 at the hottest. I sweated so much my fingers and arms were cramping last night.
The thing is after you get some minerals and water back in you a good sweat makes you feel good. This is the hottest and driest weather we have had here in several years.
96 when we rolled eastward from Tenn on Tuesday[at noon].
Hit storms at the VA line, 68 there for a nice 28 degree swing.
We hit 112- 113 a few days ago. But it's a dry heat and not that suffocating 90+ percent humidity Southern heat.

It has a 1980 feel to it. We had a big rain the first week of June then, and nothing until mid October. It was too wet for me to even plow my garden until the middle of June this year, and no rain since, just hot weather. 1980 pretty much ended the dry land farming except winter crops of wheat and oats, in this part of the state.
It's been awhile since I had or needed a water truck on job site but it's getting time drying out on top really fast even after you get a little rain shower. Little whirlwinds and dirt devils throwing dust everywhere don't know if it'll show up in this picture.

Here we go again.
Pard said people told him that about Iraq too. Said that's the biggest crock of schii.tt he ever heard.
Yeah, is 112F ambient vs. 112F heat index really even an argument? Any variety of 112F is going to suck.
First one that says "climate change" is a ___________ (fill in the blank).
What the hell did you expect from July in the South ? It's 76* here right now. May and June were mostly highs in the 60's and 70's. So far this summer we've only had 5 or 6 days that got over 85* and it only reached 90 twice. Course it may well be 20 below zero come January but I can always put on enough clothes to stay reasonably comfortable.
Been close to 100 for 2 weeks in Tenn
With heavy humidity
I’m ok with it. I worked my time in the sun, on roofs. I’ve earned my chevrons.
I got a pretty good thing going
Work in the garden, yard, farm, shop, run errands till about 11 quit
Regroup about 6pm, work till dark.
I can get enough done in 4-5 hours a day
The good part is, no one expects much from me 👍😃
Any output is a plus

Same here. I've been getting out around 6, working a few hours, then finishing up late in the afternoon. My outside thermometer is showing 99 right now.
Im headed up to the state line to buy a freezer off of a soldier PCS’ing in about 15 mins
Bought freezer #8 Tuesday for $75
Pick up another one today
Get rid of all these coons and I’ll fill a 7 cubic ft up with sweet corn in another week
sunny/windy/85* today
12% humidity
55* over night is nice.......

It ain't the humidity, it's the dew point. When the DP gets much above 65* F, it starts to feel a bit sticky. Over 70* F and it's downright tropical.
Probably doesn't matter to the guy sweating his balls off. A feller just wants dry balls and no baboon ass; then his general disposition is usually quite tolerable.
S'posed to hit 65 here tomorrow with a low of 56 tomorrow night. Cloudy. That's good.
Probably have to put a shirt on. Naw, we are laying block- I'll just wear coveralls over the T. Might even wear pants under the cover-alls.
Heat sucks- we were sweating like shoats at a Texas BBQ a couple days ago in the sun and low 70's, in jeans and T's.
You can keep that heat.
I've got the A/C set on 55 and am covered up with my Wiggy's bag right now

Glad you had better luck that i did on the corn.
Got caught by a dry spell.
Lot of my planted corn didn’t come up.
Lot of seed in general. Okra, peas also.
After i planted it didn’t rain for a month or so.
I pulled a few ears yeasterday, several of the test ears didn’t fill out.
Been getting to close to or above 100 degrees here for a couple of weeks. Hasn't rained in a month. I used to water the yard. But it has been nice not having to mow.
Heat index of 105-112 here in Alabama for the past 3 weeks. Spent most of yesterday on tractor at the farm. Play golf at least twice a week. I e lived here all my life. Guess I’m used to it 🤷♂️
It's hot as Hell outside.
Summer SUCKS.
It’s been right around 100 for a month.
Looks like we'll hit 80 or so today.

Got y’all beat. 107 here. Was 106 yesterday! 😬
88 with 10 mph wind on the beach in Charleston. Feels great!
Went to South Dakota in late June. Got spoiled by the weather and low humidity. Came back to TN to high humidity, 100 degree days and possibly a well that is drying up. I'd like to go back to South Dakota and trade the summer here for the winter there.
I just shot the dirt in the front yard. It's plenty warm in Texas

But dibeetus is hard on them “Out West” types 😃
Can’t walk around in the yard with one of them canvas water bags like Saddleboots McCoy has on his Studebaker
It's 77 and sunny with a nice breeze here this afternoon. Been sitting out on the deck enjoying it.

This is a ''it's hot'R-N'hell thread'' we don't want to hear how comfy some of you are....
We missed our 99* forecast - it's over 100* heat index = oven and miserable...
Pretty toasty here at 80 degrees and almost no humidity.
