Born in 1956 I got to see the rise of many groups.CCR was among my favorites in my teen years. That music was good then and still is today.Do they still make music these days? Many good black singers during that time too. What happened to music................
Having visited a Southeast Asian country, enlisted prior to the draft (number 69) Run through the jungle and favorite son come to mind. From the time frame, the Animals Got to get outa here if it's the last thing I ever do..

I liked a lot of their stuff, but I always get a warm glow hearing this. It takes me back to 1972, Angeles City, (finally) drifting off to sleep in Alice’s apartment at 7:00 AM while the band down the street (Angeles was a 24 hour town) broke into the opening riffs of “Up Around The Bend.”
A Navy guy from Cubi Point, I’d blast up to Angeles on my Kawasaki 500 triple for a few days of fun and games every so often with a couple of girls I knew up there, both named Alice…both beautiful…I was young and reckless and life was good.
“Long as I can see the Light” was always a personal favorite and “Run through the Jungle” was mandatory play during mission prep prior to going outside the wire. But, then most anything by CCR was real popular in those days in Southeast Asia.
