You getting rain?

We got a good shower this morning, I don’t know how much though.

With the frequent rains around here in the sugar valley area, the farmers are having a tough time getting hay up.

We drove to Miles City today it appears dryer around Glendive to Miles City.

A tender moment? Or is that after he gets hold of the meat tenderizer?

Viking, no rain here yet this evening, looks like just a light shower headed our way but I hope Jim got a little more of a quick soaker.

JC

Just got some back channel comms from Renegade50 and I've been instructed to tell you "duh".

He said you'd know what he meant.

We are north of the Medicine line but we got 6/10 last night and it’s raining now. Probably not going to have to build a boat but it’s a nice rain.

What is this rain you speak of?
I think I remember Grandpa talking about that stuff when I was a youngster.

SamOlson: I don't know about Jim Conrad country but today is the 10th of July and it has rained EVERY day here in SW Montana so far in July - PLUS it rained every day for the last week of August hereabouts!
It is so green here it hurts my eyes to look out at the Deer and Antelope in the fields adjacent to my home.
It doesn't rain all day or for to long but we only get a total of 9.7" of moisture here year (average) - I think the "profound drought" (highest level of drought classifications!) is over hereabouts.
Hold into the wind

Allow me to put it this way.

It's rained so much in the last 3-4 days that I haven't really done chit regarding work.

Got so bored earlier today that I washed my wife's SUV. I've since started in on a six pack of Space Dust IPA.

LOL Raining in July and by golly August was wet too!
Posted By: Stormin_Norman Re: Jim Conrad?! - 07/10/22
We've been getting the chit kicked out of us by hail in the NW, there is going to be a lot of hail damaged cars coming up at auction soon. Missed my place by a couple miles but jr's truck took a beating. Helena and Great Falls shared in the joy, it's good for body shops and roofers I guess.

When it rains in Utah...it fuggin rains

This is a new video posted on U Tube taken that day...

It shows raw footage......real life schidtt

Notice the small car w/2 people in floating downstream slamming into boulders

Rather calm today in Podunk.....smoke drifting in from a major wildfire SW of here

Human caused......go figure

That desert country can't hold a drop of rain much less a thunder boomer!

Our little creek ran and we only got 1.5" at a time, but it took twice.

Went for a walk this morning, boring farmer gack vid.

County shop is about 1 mile northwest of us and the river bottom neighbors.

Old piece of 6' culvert that has laying for close to 10 years. Wind had enough ummphhhh to get started and it rolled over 3 barbwire fences and up and over the BNSF tracks and a highway and for the grand finale over about 1/4 mile of my buddies wheat field....lol

Looks 2 me like U got bugs eating that stuff.

I swear the beans I was working next to in Minnesota grew about 2 inches yesterday.

The crow river had raised up about 3 inches at 2 am this morning when I hooked these sum beaches

Posted By: Angus1895 Re: Jim Conrad?! - 07/11/22
Elk or in yer parts maybe bison?

At least 4 now U can eliminate insects in your fields,
Posted By: kennymauser Re: Jim Conrad?! - 07/11/22
It is raining here in Columbus right now and it has rained over an inch this month and we have over 10" of moisture for the year. Last year at this time it was just over 4" on this date.
I see the dry land alfalfa is in it's second cutting.
Of course all of the 115 people that lost homes in the earlier floods probably wish it would dry out so they can clean up their mess.
I see there is still a lot of snow in the Beartooths left to melt so the rivers will have plenty of water later!

About a week ago my sister and brother in law had golf ball sized hail and up to some around 3" on Pryor Creek golf course near Huntley.

I had a little alfalfa weevil in my first cut. Lately, I've been sweeping for PTL. I haven't sprayed yet this year. Second cut has a little bloom. It ought to be off by the end of the week.
